The only English teacher I ever had whose course is well organized and assignments / quizzes / essays actually helped improve my writing skills. He is an easy marker because he marks ideas more than grammar and text structure. Classes get boring but he's worth taking. I'd take him again :)

This is the second time i had to deal with him in an English class. He points out most of the time that my essays are too lengthy but he is very honest with his opinions though he may explain things really, really, REALLY long. I find him chill. Sometimes boring cos he explains too much but if you coordinate well with him, do your book-ling essays, study the medium/s used in the class and ask for his help, you will be fine. PLEASE AVOID PLAGIARISM! Otherwise, your screwed! Good luck!

I had Mark for Composition and Literature my first semester, and I absolutely loved going to class because he already detailed everything on the course outline and on omnivox, so I knew exactly what homework was due when. If you do all the readings and can write 400-word paragraphs, you'll ace this class.

Why has nobody rated him yet, he's a great teacher, anyone who says otherwise is a bad student. Do Your Work

Mark Beers is an amazing teacher, he explains really well and is never boring. The only thing I hated in his class is writing essays.
