If you're tired in his class or don't pay attention you wont understand any of the things he's teaching because he teaches verbally rather than with pictures, steps or diagrams. He's not very organised and doesn't plan his lessons and I think that effects the students. I don't dislike Mr. Opie because he's very nice and says hello to me whenever he sees me and whenever I need help one on one he's good at teaching me and I get it, just the class teaching is confusing.
i'd like to watch him in pain
knows the material he teaches REALLY well, and he's really nice if you try in class. he has 2 degrees in engineering. funny, doesn't communicate the material well, but if you ask for extra help he will gladly help you, and wi
I don't find his clarity that great when it comes to math but then again math is a hard subject to teach. If you get to know him he's a good guy at heart
I had this teacher for calculus and WOW he is tough. His tests are hard, especially the final exam. Avoid him if possible. Class avg = 60%
he is smart and funny sometimes hard to understand but i went for extra help and he is much better at explaining things one on one. HAs a hard time controlling the class.
I can not stand the way he teaches! I know that he is a smart guy and understands everything bout math; however he can not communicate any of that to our class.
very smart, very funny, and makes things easier to understand. what else can i say? he's great.
he's not a bad person, but his teaching abilities are shady
He knows a lot about math and english is his first language however he doesn't communicate too well since he seems not to care what's going on in class. NOT VERY GOOD
Good teacher but dosn't make things interesting. Not very observent of whats going on in the classroom.
I don't like him cause he cheered for Philly and not the Leafs...
umm well his cat seems important to him... knows his math... but cant teach to well.
Mr. Opie is a very good teacher. He's really sweet and very helpful if you ask for help. He's also very funny (in a good way).
