I've always loved French, she froze my passion for 2 years. Even though I wanted to take Grade 11 French, I thought it would be too big of a gap because I barely learned anything in her class. Repeating basics, boring, spends too much time talking about her daughter and pulls the marks out of her ass. I did well on her tests (95), the HW she gave was basic copying from text and yet at the end of the term she gave me 72 - asked her why, and she couldn't give me an answer. Ass.
We really missed her this year. She should do Grade 11 or 12 next year. She is the best.
People are mean sometimes to this teacher. We have lots of tests. We know which day always. She always reminds us a lot. She gives us the highlights of the test with example questions the day before.
Can't understand her when she speaks French. We do stuff but it's disorganized. Never know what's being tested. Stress all the time.
I had Mme. last year and she puts all the notes on the board and the screen. It helped us write better and to speak better and then prepare for the exam. This year, it was so different. The class was hard to control and there were no notes. She is the best!
i had her for civics, and it was the worst term fo my life. i dreaded going there every morning. she made those marks up based on who she liked and who she THOUGHT did their work; never actually checked. i got a 76 even though i did all my homework, well.
Mme. cares about her students. She tricked us into a fun review for the exams. We spent all period playing Jeopardy to review all the literature on the exam.We like talking French in her class. She is very strict about that.every day. We are used to it.
Who writes this stuff??? If you don't prepare for Mmes class then you don't do well. She is fair and no surprises. She uses homework sheets in her tests. If you study the work then it is easy. She only likes you if you speak french in her class.
Well you have to work hard in her class. She keeps a file on every student to show parents samples of work. She lets you do things over like correct paragraphs and you get the last mark. That is cool. There is no limit to the number of times.
We appreciate Mme. after we are not in her class. She promised she would teach us again this year but it is our loss. We had real notes and lots of tests last year. She is kind and fair. She had control over the class. Made us speak French. we miss her.
MME. insists that we follow the rules. She is strict but it is your own fault if you don't do well. Her tests are not tricky if you study her notes and do the homework all the time. She does want you to speak French in class and always knows if you aren't
She marks everything. She has 20 marks in her book for each class and it is not even midterm yet. Well if you forget to study for something then you have a chance to do better the next times. She makes you work hard. I like the candy bribes and the games.
Mme. is strict but fair. She doesn't let you waste time. No off topic converrsation until the last 2 minutes of class. You have to speak french most of the period to get a good mark. A bit less structure MME.
She knows what she is talkin about when it comes to french which pays off in the exam. Really strict dosnt let youuse the washroom or talk at all Tries to hard to be the cool teacher. Plays movies in french witch is boring. HARD MARKER!
I feel sorry for those coming to grade nine with this teacher, she really is strict with marks, don't let her think you're in the "bad crowd" or you'll be left behind. Try really hard and you'll get a good grade if not FAIL
I had Madame for 2 years and think she is a very good but strict teacher. She teaches teachers who are speicializing in French too. My mother took her class and thinks she is always prepared and it is good that she makes people speak only in French.
Mme is a great teacher. She uses the board and overheads alot. Her notes are clear. We read out of a few books and there are lots of interest pages that go with what we are doing. I am seeing a tutor now so that I can practice through the summer.
She made me work this year. I had to do more and she surprised me with a good mark. She was really nice today. Really cares about her students more that the others.
She made classes fun. She tricked us into learning the verbs. She loves charts but there are easy to learn from. She was nice to us. Parents love her alot. She always calls them even to say I did a good job on a quiz or something.
SHE MADE GRADE 9 FRENCH A NIGHTMARE.....hated her more than any teacher i have ever had
basically she hates grade 9's.. so avoid her if you can. but if your in her grade 10 class she loves you. its very unfair. and if your in applied french she hates you more because you dont hvae to do as much work for her.
to be honest shes a good teacher. she does her job but is a bit eccentric. you actually learn things but she gets really off task and is obsessed with making you write your own tests. ask her about her tatoo.
Mme. makes the most of her time. We know our verbs and unit vocab with all those drills and quizs.. When we get tired she tells us one of her famous kid stories and then we get back to work after our 2 minutes off task as she puts it.
Mme. Mallon is a very fair teacher. She loves her job and is ready to give extra help any time. She really cares about her students alot.
She is an odd teacher?!? she always talks about her kids..... one time i asked to go to the washroom and she said i wasn't allowed? she has favorites so make sure to speak out alot in class because she'll give you alot more marks if she likes you.
She's rushed, she takes bribes, she talks incessantly about her kids, won't give bathroom breaks, doesn't allow clicking pens, resting your head in your hand or anything! However, her students always know their stuff really well, she drills it in.
Mme. Mallon was a nice teacher...she gave my class alot of review time, but we didnt get to do much. I passed and all with a good mark and thats all that counts, her lessons where great i understood everything, but they where way to organized!
Aparantly she may be a nice person but she is the worst type of teacher imaginable. She makes sure the smart succeed and the dumb fail with 12 fails this year, and even worse last year. Majority failed out of spite.
I think shes an okay teacher. She does alot of reviews on verbs and that can get annoying. Shes an okay teacher but needs to lighten up a bit. Thats my 2 cents :)
She doesn't let you do anything. One day people were smiling and she stoppd the class because of that. We aren't allowed to stretch, get up ever, ask questions until 15 min after.
let's see, can I think of anything good to say about this lady's teaching skills? umm... NO!!! She is an extremely nice person she just can't teach
haha oh Mme Mallon .. your somthing else... like a person pretending to be a teacher that doesn't even know what subject she is teaching ... sad
This lady tries to put way too much stuff into one class, you can never finish the stuff she gives you and we can't even get up and go to the front WHAT IF WE HAVE QUESTIONS the teacher is supposed to answer it i don't know how she got into teaching (but i think if i got to know her some other way i would've like her)
Mme. Mallon explains things very clearly teaches OK, but she's the most annoying person I've ever met. She teaches to ppl who can't do French and won't let you go to the bathroom!!
Not bad, but then again i happen to be good at french. At least she doesnt talk about her kids unless we ask or if theres a topic that relates to her kids
I really actually liked Mme Mallon. I learned a lot in her class. She does need to stop talking on her cell, though.
Okay, Mme Mallon was probably my worst enemy in gr. 9. Once french was done, we got on great. She was totally different and I actually liked talking to her.
She needs to explain things better. She is extremely unclear and made me hate French. :P
ugh she seriously needs to turn off her cellphone and stop talking about her kids
I think Mme Mallon is a great teacher. She teaches a lot and her lessons are effective. She makes class fun as well. She needs to turn her cell off, though.
Tries to squeeze too much work in one day, yet forgets some parts of the curriculum.
talked too much about her kids, taught only half of the curriculum, made me quit french
