Everything seems to have been said in other reviews, so instead I'll share an anecdote. In Mr Madill's class we were studying and debating on the subject of education. At one point he came up with this question : What qualities make a good teacher? We discussed it in small groups and all came to the same unanimous conclusion. However, when the time came we were too shy to speak out loud what we were all thinking : You, Mr Madill. You make a great teacher.
M. Madill. What to say... AMAZING! Knows everything there is to know about.. well, everything. Funny and definitely knowledgable. Great teacher. Never fear one of his classes. It's well worth it.
I left Cité 5 years ago, and have since become an English high-school teacher myself.. which is largely in part due to Mr. Madill. Amazing teacher, changed the way I viewed literature. Excellent!!!
Possibly my favorite teacher in high school. Tough, but helpful. His witty sense of humour helps with reading projects and essays. Take English with him. It's well worth it.
An inspirational figure, though I haven't seen him in some time. Le meilleur enseignant j'ai jamais eu.
10 years after graduating from high school, I still count Mr. Madill as one of the most inspiring, intriguing and effective teachers I've known.
Mr Madill knew so much about so many things and had a great sense of humour. His class was excellent preparation for university.
