To get a good mark you do need to put in a lot of effort, and she is a pretty hard marker, as she starts your grade on any assignment(other than knowledge quizzes) at 75%, then works up or down depending on whether you impress or not. However, I feel she is a great teacher. She explains everything clearly, doesn't need to read her notes to explain things, and is overall a really good teacher. Definitely the best english teacher at St. Marys
Great teacher! She can turn a bad writer into a great one. She is an extremely hard marker though
Honestly, one of the best teachers I've had. After a bad experience in grade nine English, Ms. Beaudoin helped me find a new appreciation for literature and the fine, fine art of essay-writing. People say she's a tough marker, but I really think she's a fair marker. If you're willing to put in the effort and genuinely do a good job, she will reward you for it. She calls it like it is, and doesn't sugarcoat anything. You will learn so much about literature and writing in her class. Pay attention!
Ms. Beaudoin was the best high school teacher I had over my 4 years at 3 different schools! My english improved greatly over the semester and writing a good essay is no longer a struggle after 5 months with her! Thank you!
She needs to clarify her expectations in assignments. We can't meet your expectations if you don't tell us what they are.
She is the hardest English teacher... even harder than McHarge and Matijczyk. She says our class has a really high average yet the highest mark is 84%. Something is not right there. She really should lower her expectations because not every student is an English major. On the bright side she was good at explaining Shakespeare and Brave New World in an animated way.
Meh, I mean, she's okay. Always gripes about how hard school will be later on at university. A ridiculously hard marker.
tough marker, but incredible teacher
Condescending teacher. More concerned with flaunting her distended ego than adequately preparing her students for university.
she was not a nice person, but i cant say she was a bad teacher just because she was a bad person. she was a great teacher, knew her stuff and taught u well. whenever she answered the phone she would say "hello, hello
