the Banjevic is like Einstein! she can show proofs of equations from more than one way, which is a huge help to understand. always try the problems and ask questions when you get stuck, she will take the time to explain.

Yikes, haven't had her yet (fingers crossed) but her class seems like they always have tests, the was a fire drill and i swear her class stayed inside the entire time, it was during lunch time and she came into the hallway to shush people bc they were doing another test, I have a class next to hers and she keeps walking into our class and closing our door (even if its just our teacher teaching something) she always leaves her door open though

I hate when people hate on Ms. Banjevic! She is extremely helpful and is the most knowledgeable math teacher at amac. She is strict, but with her, you get results.

Prepares you well for university-level calculus I, and the university teaching style. Try hard, do all the homework, and go to extra help at lunch, and it's possible to get a very high mark in the course. She is very helpful - you just have to ask for help at lunch.

Terrible. Favouritism. Mean. Rude. Knowledgeable. Always assumes you do not do your hw if you do bad, thinks you will go nowhere in life since youre bad at her tests. Calls you out infront of everyone calling you stupid. If she does not like you....leave asap.

She knows a lot of math......but really that's the only positive thing I can say about her. She wastes half the class with useless diatribes that nobody cares about and then spends the other half putting people down. Her tests are honestly insane and contain things she didn't even teach, and then she acts all surprised when people fail. She also gives out a lot of quizzes and assignments but only puts the ones where everyone did bad on into your mar. Honestly she's a terrible teacher.

I'll admit she knows math but that's the only positive thing I can say about her. Her tests are extremely hard, she has favouritism towards her top students and hates the ones who are failing, cannot explain concepts clearly, constantly puts people on the spot in front of the class to embarss them, and has no patience. The good reviews are most likely done by her "favorites". If you have her switch to a different class! Trust me I wish I did..

She does seem to know quite a bit of math, but in my opinion, she doesn't relay her knowledge that well onto her students. Degrades you if you ask a question. Tests are literally the hardest tests I have ever written. Don't even get me started on the exam. Won't give half marks, so expect lower than you think. Barely uses the tb, but expects you need to know the content so read it.
Also, to the person who said, "she made someone cry once", ONCE?! She's made AT LEAST 4 people cry this year.

Mrs. Banjevic definitely knows mathematics and what she teaches. The only problem is her teaching style and approach. Students often feel intimidated to the point that they are scared to ask for help for fear of being mocked for not knowing something. She is a "tough love" person so she bullies students into learning, and it sometimes works and sometimes doesn't.
Based on my observations, she may seem cold and insensitive, but she is a warm caring person. Her class es ARE hard though!

The rating system is a tad flawed in terms of rating Ms Banjevic. She is a one of a kind teacher, doesn't rely on the textbook a whole lot but uses it enough. She is a teacher who will w/o a doubt prepare you for uni. A bit tough but it's tough love
