Knows how to teach to his credit, he suffers from being completely closed to song suggestion and thinks his taste of music(which is more or less the pop music of the 70's, 80's and 90's with a couple decent songs that managed to slip through every once in a while) for instance we asked for Rolling Stones. Instead of asking which song we want he picks his own. The rock band at the school is more or less a joke among the kids, easy to get an A in if you are above average at your instrument
Completely unaware of how to teach for an instrument other than guitar. Not open to suggestions, including when the tabs he gives out for songs have objectively wrong notes.
He is a nice guy. I missed a few classes and he was unhappy about it, but on the other hand i had friends that missed his class for a month and he didn't say anything. He doesn't focus on techniques, so if you want to learn guitar properly get a teacher somewhere else! You get to learn different songs and play them during class time. Definitely a relaxing class.
Nice guy, great guitar player, sometimes frustrating to deal with
Terrible teacher, nice guy, should NOT be teaching orchestra/concert band cuz he knows nothing about it, gives everyone A's which isn't fair to the people who actually try and practice
Not a very good conductor compared to others, questions the people's instruments quite annoys me but overall he's ok
Really annoying, and his music taste is close to atrocious. He is pretty good at guitar, but nothing special. He is completely closed to song suggestions and ignores everyone but the isngers.
My son had a passion for music, and wanted continue it as a carreer. Les Toth did not encourage him to continue music. Instead, he gave him a high mark and put him down every way he could. horrid guy.
this guy as MAD GUITAR SKILLZ. well compared to me anyway. hes a nice guy, really has a feel for music, youll notice he has an obsession with washing his hands like 6 times a class
Well...not bad...if he gives one to take challenges e.g. let the second violin players to challenge the first violin one, he would become better. Quite sharp and seems nice.
unorganized, he tries but he just doesnt have it, they need new equipment in the band room and they need to renew their friggin song lists... if i hear mony mony one more time...
There are so many talented musicians at WVSS, but so few are in the music program. Why? Two words: INCOMPETANT TEACHER!
He helped me graduate, so all you haters can keep hatin'. Toth is a natural born music teacher...
Really one of the worst music teachers I've come across. If you're looking to improve your musicianship, go to Rockridge, study with Mr. Follett.
Best music teacher you had? You haven't had many music teachers, have you? And I quote: "You guys, it's a tempo change from piano to mezzo forte!"
AWESOME GUY! SUPER patient, know's exactly what pace to take the class so we're all at the same level. Really nice guy, Really good guitar player.
One of the best music teachers that I have ever had.
I really dislike him, because of him I don't play my instrument anymore after 8 enjoyable years. An easy "A" though.
Apperantly he's amazing at playing guitar. Too bad Socials isn't his strength...
He made my dream come true. Now I am a professional basoonist.
oooo if this wasn't a family site i'd say some very baaaad things
