She is super boring and monotone. But once u get past that, you will see that she is very funny. Knows what she is talking about and she is willing to look over ur stuff and time outside of class
shes a fine teacher but an incredibly difficult marker
Super easy work.. all you do is listen to books LISTEN, She has 900 Pandora charms. Her stomach always shows... ugh one thing that really bothers me about her is her voice. really monotone. 12 cats
:( not so great experience in this class
Personally, I really like Ms. Holland. I never found her that moody, and she's really thorough in our learning. She's always available after class for extra help or just to talk, and she really helps you understand the material.
Holland, once you get past her being monotone and have that slur in her voice shes a nice person and if helpful. It's just a matter of not falling asleep or straying away to different thoughts. Very difficult to pay attention in her class because of her voice. Watch out her mood changes with a flip of the switch.
In order to receive a good grade in her class, you just need to know what impresses her. You need to explore 'different' ideas and your strengths... and really capitalize on them.
An extremely underrated teacher. Yes, she is the moodiest thing this side of Venus, BUT she really prepares for classes and is ready to help anyone who asks. She covers all bases during a unit of study, not just the text. When we learned the Tempest in grade 11, we spent tons of time analyzing social structures and other issues related to the text. I really felt like I accomplished something with Holland. You learn, and you do refine your skills. She appreciates hard work and gives credit where it's due.
She has various states of being. On a good day, she's not bad. But catch her on a bad day... Sometimes I think she is overly strict in marking, she picks on students, and she writes impossible tests. But if you ask her for help with a thesis or something, a discussion with her WILL set you on the right track. But you need to work hard to get what you want out of her, because a lot of her instructions aren't very clear.
Although some times she can drone a bit she still makes the lessons interesting
she is not in the right state of mind to teach or do anything else for that matter...nuff said
She's a hard marker, and our class was really messed, even though it wasn't her fault. She's interesting enough though. If she was around more often maybe the class would have been better.
One of the best teachers I have ever had. Ms. Holland's marking is very fair and she is extremely knowledgeable. She has a great sense of humour and that allows you to enjoy the class while still getting work done. It may be just me, but I adore her.
Granted she is not the best of English teachers, rathe dull and dry; but she was a great history teacher - you can tell that is her passion. She really made it interesting, and helped you to enjoy it.
shes alright, i try hard to like her, but for what ever reason something is holding that back. She is smart teacher to have and can really learn alot from her.
A little bit harsh sometimes.. try not to be so mean! Also how can you preach handing in work on time when you never hand back our own work within a month!
I believe in my careers class, I've learnt that she marks all assignments as if it were in English class.... man what the heck? Calm down, its only careers!!! She marks very hard. Warning.
not a good teacher. She's so fake.. and her marking is like, so inconsistent.
shes the best teacher ever i love her shes so nice to people and she helps you if you need help i think she is soo cool. plus she jus doesnt ignore u in the halls she says hi shes cool:D
Stop telling your class that their essays blew out the window of your car...you've used that excuse way too many times
She really cares about her students. Very dedicated teacher.
Marked too hard and different all the time. First she liked your work, then she didn't. My lowest English mark EVER, but tried the hardest. Serious favouritism!
She lets you get away with a lot.....but she also shows she cares for her students outside of the classroom.......respect to the buzz cut!
