A brilliant teacher. The only Science teacher in McMath who tells students to think and analyze the notes he gave in order to learn the materials instead of memorizing everything. Prepare his students well for university. Though he does rumble quite a bit.

From a student driven for marks alone, Black has changed my perspective on school and the standard of what a teacher should be. Black goes beyond the textbook (which he doesn't use) . His lessons are insightful, he prides himself in not just helping students with their end-objective and setting us up for a test but getting the message across in a way they can truly understand and apply. He prepares assessment in a way that students not only excel but can know material inside out.

Grade 11 currently studying Ken's Chemistry and Biology class. Ken is a very intelligent man, and makes a huge effort to help students understand the topic at hand. Although very thorough to the point of annoyance with his lectures, his in-depth description is very insightful for the listening pupil. Notes are hand made, easy to understand yet still recommends textbook use.

He is a great teacher. Everyone that says they have a hard time with him probably don't listen to him closely enough. He makes sure to emphasize on important points. The more time he spends on explaining something means the more important it is to understand it. Best science teacher i've had out of all my five years at mcmath.

If you don't like the subject, don't take his class. He rekindled my love of science. I'm looking to continue in bio cos of him. He is very funny. Test are reasonable. Best teacher of the dept. (only good teacher) He actually values knowledge over marks, unlike other science teachers. Rational and fair.

Do not be fooled by the lazy eye. Identity early on which is the good eye and act accordingly. It's tricky at first, but eventually you will be able to recognize whether he is talking to you or not.
