Miss Mcphee can be a bit intimidating to ask questions to ( at least I felt so) but as soon as I did, I did have a much better understanding of the material. SO don't be shy ask her questions. I felt like she prepared me for university well, her lessons are quite similar to those given at university and she encourages you to write your own notes which is also really helpful. I think she proved to be a good preparation for the post secondary education experience.
This woman has been personally responsible for my stress over the last 3 months. She will not help when you ask for it, and if she does "help" she can still mark you wrong on assessments. She's not even a hard marker, she's just a flat out ridiculous marker. She knows so much and forgets we don't.
Work hard and you will do well. Do all of the practice, ask lots of questions and study her practice tests. She may not be the best teacher to socialize with, but your mark will reflect how much time you put into doing what she asks you to. Most people who didn't like her put too much time into complaining and not enough into understanding the material she was trying to teach. If you are prepared to put the work into it, you will be happy in her class.
Never again. Her Bio is better than Chem but still. She says 'facts' that are often plain wrong, and it doesn't even take any research to prove it. Can be extremely rude, but also nice. Seems as though she lets personal opinion seep into her teaching heavily. Seemingly docks marks where she sees fit based on the student and not what they wrote. More than once I showed her marking to be wrong, only for a new reason for the lost mark to suddenly appear. She has a ~terrible~ psychological effect.
Every culture in the world is familiar with her. She has been referred to by many different names over the span of many centuries. Set. Cronus. Fenrir. Satan.
Every day I wish I dropped chemistry. Super condescending and passive aggressive. Doesn't tell you where your mistakes are on tests, she basically just skims your answer and docks marks because she wants too. Hehe
Difficult material and hard marking, but still fair.
Her lessons do not cover everything she puts on evaluations, so you will have to read the textbook, which is still sometimes not even sufficient. She expects you to know as much as her. Also, she does
A lot of the material covered in the course is not in her powerpoints, or lacks in clarity, so MAKE SURE TO READ THE TEXTBOOK. A lot of self teaching is necessary, which can get exhausting. You will n
Works students really hard but worth it before the exam, does act like its the students fault when no one in the class finishes an assignement. Overall ok teacher but part drill sargant who expects yo
very hard marker, but she only wants you to be prepared for what is in future. overall a good teacher

She knows her stuff, but expects yout o know it just as good as her, were not the ones with the degree Mrs. McPhee so chill out on the marking.
Never had a problem with her. Fun teacher and always available if you need help. A must have teacher if you are in chemistry.
work is hard. she doesn't explain herself well in class. she really wants you to do your work and pay attention to her. she's somewhat dry in her teaching method.
Love her class, work is hard but she is willing to help.
Fantastic teacher. Works us hard but it is worth it in the long run. A must-have teacher.
