Avoid taking this teacher for your own sake. Mr. Zarabi goes over the easiest examples in class with barely any explanation and then surprises you with the hardest questions ever in the exams. Even if your steps are correct or you're going in the right direction, he will barely give you partial points if your answer is incorrect. My first semester is ruined thanks to myself who didn't take the comments on rate my teacher seriously.

First day of class, the first thing this guy says to everyone is how hard his course is and how everyone will fail. I did not switch out, I had taken Cal 1 in my last year of high school and wasn't worried. Turned out to be one of the biggest mistakes I've ever made. He barely explains the material, gives the easiest of examples in class, and then gives the hardest possible examples on his tests. My class average was a fail. If you are looking to pass, Kourosh is not the teacher for you.

Avoid if possible, he does not care, gives the easiest examples in the notes but the hardest on the test, but if you do the harder questions in the textbook and notes, you might pass because he takes the questions word for word from the textbook and notes.

He is maybe the worst calculus teacher at Dawson. He thinks all his students are math geniuses and expects you to be able to complete the hardest problems 5 minutes after you just learned something. You will need a tutor, unless you've won a national math championship and you're just naturally amazing. He is discouraging : he does not encourage his students to do well, he just says how hard it is and how the failure rate is always so high. Also, good luck understanding him when he speaks.

AVOID THIS TEACHER IF YOU WANT TO PASS!!!! I am saying this to genuinely help you. He is completely useless. He comes to class, tries to teach from the hardest examples he can find, and he basically sits and stays on his phone for 15 minute intervals while the class is trying to figure out an impossible problem from his stupid slide show. You will for sure have to waste money on a tutor because he cannot teach at all. He basically doesn't care at all if you fail, and his tests are impossible.

K. Adl-Zarabi will teach you all of the basics...but he won't teach you the any of the complex ways of applying them. During class, he reads the class notes off of a word document and makes the student do very easy problems. No homework problems. He refuses to give out difficult practice problems because he is "saving the really hard ones for the exam". Teaches things that are not in the commerce textbook (you can go find the other textbook in the library). Many students fail.

Smart students will love him and say that his exams are really easy. However, if you're a student that has difficulty in mathematics, DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASSES. He's only going to explain the material by reading his powerpoints and he doesn't prepare you enough for his exams. In other words, I would not recommend him unless you are willing to learn on your own. Also, my class average was only 57%. Many students have failed this course and I am one of them.

This teacher is what I expected from a teacher in college. He's not confusing, but might be hard to follow for slower ppl. He always goes straight to the point, and gives you exercises to do. My tip : USE THE TEXTBOOK. He barely uses it, but some of the exam questions come directly from it. He doesn't give or check homework, but if you do exercises in the book to practice you *should* pass (somehow our class average was 57% though, I have no idea how). He also has a lot of bad funny jokes hahaha

Mr.Zarabi is a really smart man, clearly he knows a lot of things, however i would not consider him as a good teacher, he doesnt care if you pass his tests or not , he doesnt take attendence. Only recommand him if mathematics are too ez for you so u can chill and get good grades in his tests , he is really not that hard , he just doesnt know how to teach. S/O to Justin and Ioan X)

Only take him if you're willing to learn the material yourself. Kind of rude to students, late to class and really doesn't seem like he wants to be there. Only reads off the screen, not clear, doesn't really explain and assumes you understand right away. He will help you if you go to his office hours though. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!

you need to enter this class with an open mind, don't freak out if you dont understand something, but get a tutor or go to the math help center thing. you need to go to class and try, lots of his exam/test questions are from his notes. you NEED to copy all of his notes + when he says "try this at home" write it down and do it. this isn't an easy class but lots of people end up giving up and make the average quite low so you'll do fine if you work at it.

Zarabi's class isnt that bad. He doesn't care if you show up or not, but why should he!? YOU should care about YOUR education regardless. His teaching style is less technical and more practical (alot of examples). His class is easy simply because the 3 tests you have consist of examples you've done in class. So going to class = having the answers to the test in advance. Read the book, practice at home and attend class. Don't expect to sit on your a** and pass Cal...this is college, not pre-k

Honestly the worst teacher you could have. He doesn't care if you show up to class, and in class, all he does is just post notes on the board and tells you to copy it down. You will need a tutor to pass his class. He also does not speak english well at all making things more impossible, and he rubs student's backs. Very weird, very useless; terrible teacher; AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Don't make the same mistake as me, make sure you switch out of his class if you have the chance.

Prof Zarabi's class is easy. His tests are fair and are identical to the examples and material covered in class. The only thing is that he has a thick accent and his explanations of the material can be very vague at times. If you are a self learn you will enjoy his class, if not then you may struggle. His class entails 3 exams and the final. As in any other class, if you don't do the homework you will fail the course, plain and simple.

Kourosh is an extremely knowledgeable and educated man. He explains the material poorly and his lectures are dry (does alot of exmaples), but that being said his tests are a series of 5 problems TAKEN from the lectures themselves. Dont be a lazy *** - do the problems, show up for class and practice yourself and you're GUARANTEED a good grade!
