Strange man, doesn't let people walk through the classroom door and makes you walk around the school to get into the courtyard because you're walking through his "personal space". What do you have to hide, Roberts?
Mr.Roberts is a nice enough guy and available for extra help if you ask him but honestly I did not learn a lot from his teaching. The only real reason I did well was because I watched many Crash Course videos on YouTube so read the textbook and take notes if you can. Since he is also an art teacher, every summative project we had was a handmade poster... that was annoying and time consuming. I would not recommend him as a teacher.
For the love of all that is holy in this world, do not take Roberts' class. Drop it or switch out. You will not learn anything from him that a textbook couldn't do a better job of teaching, and he will straight up lie to the class (ie saying that lobsters are insects. They're not.). He also is generally rude and inappropriate to students. Clearly hates his job and it shows. If you do have the misfortune of being stuck in his class, do not pay attention, just read the textbook and take notes.
Mr. Roberts is the worst teacher I have ever had the displeasure of having. He does not teach, but expects us to "just know" the concepts we were supposed to learn. He is not helpful and will often tell you to "just google it". He will not respond to emails nor will he provide any written instructions on any assignment. He has made sexual remarks and has just been downright inappropriate at times. As well, he has openly told classes he wishes he were an artists instead. Switch if you get him!
Rambles on about things that dont relate to the course during class then complains when we fall behind the other science classes
He won't teach and then will insist that he did. You'd be better off just reading the textbook instead of going to his class. One unit we had to read the textbook out loud as a class every day. He will teach a couple of lessons and then they won't be on the test at all. Youll do some art projects since he clearly wishes he were only an art teacher. Had him twice and my biggest mistake was not dropping him as soon as I saw his name a second time. Horrible teacher.
Absolutely the most rubbish teacher I've ever had. You will learn absolutely nothing about science and more about disney. The entire year we played disney trivia and he had to boost our marks at the end of the year because nobody passed any test, as he failed to teach us anything useful. When asking for extra assistance he simply does not have the patience to teach you, he often scolds. If you have him as a teacher I recommend switching to a different teacher.
he doesn't explain anything correctly, definetley my worst teacher in high school. also very strange.
amazing teacher, so down to earth. course can be quite difficult
Nice, good bio teacher. A little too nice to the people who plagiarized me, but whatever.
Mr. Roberts has favourites, was slightly disorganized, hard to understand, and often cruel. Above all this, he knew movies well. Sparkling banter.
Mr. Roberts was easily the best teacher I had in highschool. Kept classes fun, but still managed to cover all the material.
Intersting teacher but very unorganized lost half of my assignments.
he tries to keep everyone interested and motivated and doesn't waste our time, very helpful and fair in preparing us for tests and labs
I like that he keeps you interested by sharing things that relate to the topic you are talking about. I can't stand boring teachers, i can never learn!
aare you joking me. this guy is the coolest guy ever! he was one of my top 10 fav teachers. keep up the sweet art work mr. R. have a good next semester!. byee.
He knows his material, but doesn't appreciate slackers or think his class is a bird course.
He's a strange man, but an effective teacher for biology. Does not know too much about chem or physics (for gr9 or 10).
