Mr. Pendergast is far and away the best teacher I have ever had; all of my friends feel the same way. He gives you the confidence to believe in yourself; anyone with a negative response obviously just never tried in his class. This is truly a blessing and a gift. Mr. Pendergast not only teaches us English but also shows us he believes in our abilities and by proxy so do we. Stephen King said,“You can, you should, and if you’re brave enough to start, you will.” Mr. Pendergast embodies this. thx!

He is very smart. He is also very blunt. He will not give you a good mark unless you truly earned it. He is probably the funniest teacher at the school. He told my grade 9 class a long long story, and only in grade 12 did i find out he made it all up on the spot. His sarcasm tends to go unnoticed which is not the best. Overall i think he is one of the best teachers St. Davids has, for personality and knowledge.

Mr. Pendergast was one of my favourite teachers. His lessons went so smoothly, and he's very interactive with his students. I especially liked his use of technology. I doubt there's a teacher in the school that utilized technology as he did.

First day of grade 9, first period.
"I am not your friend, if you have a problem in your personal life, go find a shrink."
Seems a little tough right? It was exactly what that class needed. He's a damn fine teacher, and an amazing human being. If you work hard, it may not be enough. If you bust your ass, you'll do all right. His class is the reason I'm pulling 90's in university (

Honestly, he reminds me of Dr.House. And that is a very good thing. Spontaneous, but oh so fun. There's a reason he's the head of the department.
