Jim Burke is the physics god, he knows what he's talking about. I had a great experience in physics 11 & 12 and received any help I needed. He's currently the only teacher so far that has made an effort to prepare us for university, which is great. Definitely one of my favorite teachers! :)
Great teacher and my God of physics, I love the math monkey with a passion!
He never explains anything and doesn't help anyone
Good teacher, really hard in grade 12 though
His teaching method is very fast paced, I was fine with this although if you needed help; you best hope you have a low top and are a female. Good luck
Guy knows his stuff. For all you people who say his class is too hard then you should probably do some work cause anyone who actually did the work and payed attention will want to thank him if they are now involved with physics in some way.
One of the best teachers I have ever had, I had him grade 11 and 12, smartest funniest guy I have ever met. Do your work pay attention and study and you will not regret it. He tells it like it is and prepares you for whats coming up.
Great teacher. Hilarious, sometimes sneaky with the way he'll joke with you. Everything well explained, and Physics 11 was taught like a college level course. His 11th grade physics class was hands down the most fun I'll ever have in a class. Mr. Burke is definitely one of the best teachers I've ever had and I'll miss that class! Can't wait for Physics 12 :)
I like Mr. Burke but I find his class very difficult and sometimes don't grasp onto all the concepts
doesnt explain anything and wont help you if you have questions. isnt that his job?
The man is the smartes i know involving physics, but if ur not in the click then good luck u will need it
I use to think this man was the best teacher at RHS, all throught grade 11 he was good, but this year in grade 12 it is not so good, and all the questions we do in class r nothing like the test ones.
Nice guy. Nerdy, but funny:) If you try the problems, think real hard and dicuss the ones you dont understand, u'll probably do good. You're in trouble if you can't do labs/ word problems:P
Do you're work youll be prepared for university physics. Good teacher.
"I'm not a teacher. My job is not to teach. I am only here to observe your learning" WHAT!? Then what are you?! Get a new job. Smart though..if you don't include my first statement
Mr.Burke is an awesome teacher! man he is smart. you got a question? he's got the answer! Pretty nice guy too. Only people who dont try and do bad will complain about his teaching.
Mr Burke was a great physics teacher. He really got into his subject and got excited about what he was teaching. Though he moved a bit fast at times, it was an enjoyable challenge
Sick finger Jim, I guess physics wasnt on your side there. If you are a girl, and you are remotely good looking, you will enjoy Jim as a teacher. If not, you are screwed!
Mr. Burke was a great teacher. He made physics easy to understand, but at the same time he challenged all of his students. He really prepared me for university.
If you want to take physics in university, Jim's your man. I got an A in engineering physics this year mostly because of what he taught, and how well he taught it, in grade 12.
He's cool. Does physics and what have you. He might keep "burning" me way too much for a teacher, but oh well. "Variables are our friends."
Good teacher, came close to failin the class, but still a good teacher!Gotta love his lil jokes
Just because he doesnt hold your hand when he teaches you doesnt mean he's no good, but that finger nail just isnt cool
A great teacher; the best I've had at Riverview so far. He keeps things interesting, and our class had more than a few "lightbulb moments".
Pretty cool guy, deff knows his physics, I don't see why he's teaching.
A very good teacher, anyone can do well in his class if they do there homework all the ppl in here that say he ant teach should do some work.
Aweomse teacher, knows his stuff & applies it well to everyday situations:) If you have him you're lucky.
I think you're an awesome Physics, you apply a lot to real life situations which makes it a lot easier to understand.
Knows his physics, but other than that, can't teach...marbles in the mouth
a little rough around the edges...but know his physics!
Hard, but very good teacher...university physics is a breeze!
good teacher, but teaches grade 11 physics at a college level
