Mr. Smedley does not teach you anything. I did poorly in grade 11 science because Smedley taught me nothing in grades 9 and 10 leaving me very unprepared. He marks based on participation and if you're a quiet kid like me he pulls your grade out of a hat. For example, I had a 68% at mid-term and I asked him, "why?" And he literally responded "I don't know..." He then raised my mark 16% by the end of the year for no reason.

Great person but not a good teacher. He needs to give students feed back, pay more attention to how students are doing. He needs to stop giving marks based on his 1st impression of the student.

A really wonderful man! One of the worst teachers ever. Can't teach and "creates" marks - doesn't use test results. A real problem in grade 12 when that can effect university entrance/scholarships

Smed is a good teacher and lets you succeed or fail on your own. His mentality: class is optional, homework is optional, listening is optional, passing is optio
