I've had Mr Caswell for a 4 year highschool experience and believe me it, it started out great but this just goes downhill. He is incredibly unclear in his instructions and you cannot tell him that he is wrong and not you. He has little respect for other work you may have already recieved and believes his work comes before all others. Outside of the class he is a fun guy and great to be around but as a teacher, not that great.
Mr. Caswell is really cool. I enjoy being in his class because he has a good attitude...when it's a good day. Sometimes in choir he talks us down and I get a little discouraged...but class is usually really good. I enjoy, for the most part, the repertoire that we do in choir and in class. Caswell is pretty awesome outside of class as someone to talk to but kind of hard to talk to in class. I'm looking forward to the next couple of years :)
He is my vocal teacher. He is a great guy, very knowlagable, yet REALLY funny! He's always making us laugh. He's slightly unorganized... But whatever so are we :P
I love mr.caswell, an even though I don't work as hard as I could in his class, I still believe I'm one of his biggest fans. I really like him, I've had conversations with him outside of class and he's just a really awesome guy. He does pick favorites, but if you're one of them, you'll REAAAALLY love his class.
He's a very good teacher for people who are willing to work hard and put time and effort into everything they do. If you plan to slack off in his class or look bored or something, be prepared to be given a long lecture about effort, professionalism and respect. Otherwise, mr. Caswell is great! He's helpful, he cares and he cracks the occasional corny joke!
Mr Caswell is one of my favourite teachers. He is intense and makes us work hard, but he is nevertheless very sweet and makes hilariously corny jokes. He is a great choir conductor and has a good understanding of how to guide us toward singing better. He voice is also very soothing to listen to. :) Some people are intimidated by him, and for some reason, others don't like him. The only negative thing I can think of is that he can be a bit disorganized at times. Otherwise, he's awesome!
Had this guy for math year ago... he was quite upset when I could not remember the name of one of his favorites.. really quite upset. lol
He is great to work with when you're on his good side and don't have him as a teacher....
i'm pretty indecisive with him. over the years i've grown to appreciate what he has to offer as a teacher, but he's had far too many fall backs. he's quite a hypocrite at times, when he yells when there are lates for choir yet he's often late/doesn't even show up himself. i got at least 15 assignments back this year from my previous year. i'll admit he's an interesting guy, and if you're on his good side he's incredibly helpful.
intense, amazing teacher and person. i don't understand people who don't like him. he cares about the music and his students, and that's what matters.
He is one of the kindest tearchers I have ever had. He may be behind on things sometimes but he does get to them. He is very detail oriented. He likes to tell jokes even though they may be bad, at least he knows they are bad.
intence. fair. personable. supportive. funny/corny. relates to his students. deep man voice =P amazing.
amazing teacher, a bit harsh at times but only because he really wants you to do as well as he can. He also has an amazing singing voice if you ever get to hear it =)
Mr. Caswell is an awesome teacher! I've really appreciated how much he cares and how much he tries over the years. he does alot for his students, and definitely leaves a lasting mark on those who have him as a teacher. He is very determined and thoughtful- something that i think all students can appreciate.
He was the best math teacher I ever had, I don't understand the other negative reviews on his teaching. He explained math very well and made me interested in his lessons.
Mr. Caswell cares very much for his students and works hard to help them succeed. He is an excellent musician in his own right and accompanies almost all of his vocal students on piano.
Mr.Caswell is cool and alot of fun depending on his mood. Hes really moody sometimes and it gets annoying. He's a good vocal teacher though and he cares alot. Needs to stop with the favorites(ugh).
Mr. Caswell should not teach math, he isn't good at explaning it in a different way so that us poor people with problems in math understand. Nice guy though, really nice guy.
oh cazzy is cool... true he is a bit adsent minded, and a bit dramatic but cares alot
mr. caswell is definitely one of the best music teachers there is. everyone i know has learned a lot from him and he has helped countless people be better musicians.
Mr. Caswell is my favourite teacher. He is caring, maybe a little bit of a drama queen, but he loves us!
Definitely tries really hard. Cares about his students. Not good at dealing with more abstract questions in math- sticks to rules. Good for vocals, except for the TEMPER!
No return of assignments no progress reports to enable self review program. Boasts about marking hard. Doesn't care - tries to get kids to drop class. Find new
the most talented musition i know. Brilliant man, i'll miss you sir. I'll join one of his choirs so i can be under his direction again.
He's pretty good for math, though he kind of tends to over explain things, rather difficult tests, nice enough guy but i think he cares too much.
Cap'n Casi is the man....I understand why he left vocal, but the grade 12's miss your Simpsons style in our class.
He's with fashion, music, teaching style, but KIDS ARE SO IMMATURE, they just WOn't listen.
He gets so excited when he's teaching and he really cares about his students. Keep up the good work!
wonderfully talented person, yells too much, and left the g.11 vocals with Ridg
A great teacher but the grd. 11 NEED HIM NOT RIDGWAY!!!
