He barks a lot at students, and there was a time when i tried to discuss a homework question with him and all that I got was barks and barks and barks. So damaging to my psyche. Never tried to ask him another question.

A great teacher. He's good at teaching. He gives us a lot of time to read and study by ourselves. Great at explaining and demonstrating scientific experiments.

Not the easiest teacher to mingle with, especially if you're not pursuing a career in the sciences. Basically his course is what you make of it, nothing more or less

You will not learn in his class because he doesn't teach. If you do his "check points" you have to write everything he wrote or you will get like beginning which is a fail.

Unfortunately his university teaching style makes high school physics a challenge for some. He knows his stuff but can't really teach that to his students.

mr martens is a great teacher. The people who say he is hard are the ones who don't do homework or do not work hard enough. Stop complaining here and say it to his face if you think he's so bad.

Great guy. If you plan on going to post-secondary and into sciences, you have to take Martens. His style is great. Challenging and not your typical fill in the blank crap.
