He's a no-nonsense teacher. So many students hated him because he's not a happy, funny guy (basically), but he teaches his material in a very organized fashion and pushes his students to do the work. I wasn't great at math, but he gave me respect for the effort. His marking scheme is tough, but he teaches you exactly what he expects. And kids, when you get to university, you'll find profs who mark you on stuff they never even taught. Mr Simpson is fair and knowledgeable, a great teacher.

Most thorough math lessons and notes I've ever gotten. Very fair marker and particular about process and communication. Not an easy class - take notes, listen, do the homework and ask for help. You'll learn a lot and have a solid foundation for future courses.

You either love him or hate him. I happened to love him and I'm not the best at math and he still liked me because I tried. All the people saying that he only liked the smart kids, that is not true. He will only like the students who try, which in my opinion is very reasonable. He is a very strict teacher. Do not be late for his class.

Simpson is NOT an easy marker, he is very particular about proper form and will deduct you marks (not just communication) if you use improper form multiple times on a test.
If you are pursuing any degree that requires math courses or you're planning on taking calculus at York Mills, he will give you a strong foundation.
Very thorough notes, very helpful during lesson, offers extra help, very understanding.

Mr. Simpson is the best Calculus teacher. Plesa take his class if you are already excelling in Math and wanted to be challenged. He teaches Math with clarity, precision, and order. If you listen carefully and attentively in school, you will be so good at math you won't even have to worry about more math in University. He will assign a lot of homework and is very sttrict, do not take his class if you have a hard time struggling with math and do not react well under pressure.

I've been on the softball team for three years, and Mr Mahoney and Mr Simpson were the coaches each of the three years. I looked forward to spring every year so I could be on the team again. Best time of my life.
