Ms Nicholls is an extremely knowledgeable teacher, and is extremely helpful, whether it be law, the West and the World, ect. She is extremely reasonable, and will work with you to ensure you can make the most of the course. You just need to do your part. If you put in the effort, you can finish the course with a strong understanding of the content, and a good final grade. Also, get to know her. She may appear to be intimidating, but is very friendly and super fun to be around.
Ms. Nicholls targets some students. For my experience she was very cranky and miserable. #Inspiring
Great teacher but very cranky. Do not get on her bad side because she will not let it go forever. I learned a lot in her class despite the low mark I got out of it. It's better to learn and get bad marks than to get good marks and learn nothing I guess.
She's a smart woman when it comes to the general grasp of politics and history. She understand cause and effect and attempts to promote this aspect of understanding to students but she is a mean, cranky women who abuses the 22 years of unionization she has had. Her guides are flawed and filled with bias. She is hypocritical in the sense that she takes weeks to mark work but expects ANGELIC behavior from her students.Don't skip class because she'll be on your case until the exam.
She's inspired me in way unimaginable and really defined my final year of high school. She'll work you hard, but it's worth it!
I really really like Ms. Nicholls. She's really personable and takes time to get to know you. She isn't really an easy marker, but she's also a fair marker. She'll also help you with other problems yo
LOVE her. she cares about your success and goes out of her way to help you. amazing. she's HILARIOUS too :) makes everything fun!
Ms. Nicholls is pretty considerate and definately not robotic like some history teachers at Westmount.
I LOVE Ms. Nicholls. She helped me in ways no other teacher could. She is so easy talk to, and very trustworthy. I talked to her about something I couldnt tell anyone else, and she was all ears.
She went out of her way to answer my many (often off-topic) questions. She was very supportive. She gave me bad marks when I deserved them and scolded me when I needed it. Caring, funny woman.
I am so grateful to Ms. Nicholls for how she prepared me for History and Poli Sci at Uni. She gave me an invaluable grasp of the important background events in the development of West. Thank-you.
Worst teacher I have ever had. West and the World was not only the most challenging course at Westmount, but also the one that prepared students best for university. Too bad it has been ruined by becomming one more generic bland history course. Put West and the World back where it belongs (with Hopman.... or since he's leaving, give it to Staples)
I love Ms. Nicholls! She is an awesome teacher. Always willing to help, her lessons are always interesting. She is the only teacher who never forgot me being in the hall.
At first, I disliked her because I talked alot and she didn't like me.. over time, changed my opinion. Interesting course material, funny person to talk to. Not a bad class.
She is an awesome teacher!! I loved having her and hope to have her again.
Miss Nicholls is awesome. it's cheap to whine because she gave you a bad grade. She gives me bad grades all the time, and I always deserve them. She doesn't teach a lot, but when she does she's thorough. She's hilarious and interesting and definately someone great to talk to. Rock on Miss Nicholls.
Nicholls does not know her stuff. She punishes students who use words in an essay that she has to look up in a dictionary. She hardly teaches and when she does she just reads from a page. If she likes you then your set if not mine as well just drop her class.
She marks you on whether or not she likes you as a person not the quality of your work. Horrible Horrible teacher reads her lessons if she teaches at all. If she likes you your set though. Perhaps she should have more respect for the teachers who well liked within the department and should take some cues from them.
She's a great person and i like her a lot, but she's just not a very good history teacher. She knows lots of trivia -but doesn't understand the big picture...
It's a shame to have to say it, cause she's such a nice person to talk to, but her judgement become clouded DRASTICALLY by let's call it professional jealousy..
definately not the model westmount student...more behind than most students is the best way to describe Miss Nicholls however she is pretty cool
We didn't really get along at first, but once you get to know her and know what she expects, she's a cool teacher. Always fun to talk to, as well.
My favourite teacher! She's veeery disorganized though and her lessons drag on forever, but at least there isn't too many. But i would really like my marks :P
Plays favourites a lot and is overall very hypocritical! There are very few lessons and when there are they are extremely boring and lack any real content
When i fisrt had her we had a bit of a fight but now she is one of my favorite teachers in westmount....she knows how to talk to students and make them laugh
She is OK as a person, but as a teacher she needs some improvement. Very behind in marking and work and does not write very interesting courses.
Ms. Nicholls is a decent teacher. She is a very nice individual and it is easy to befriend her. She gives fairly good advice. In summary, she is OK
She's a great person, and I learn a lot from her classes, but lets face it- she really needs to get back to us with our marks a little quicker.
I had her for SAP. She did a poor job of marking our work, and she was way behind in writing the course. Very disorganized and hypocrital. Terrible teacher.
I love your hisotry stories about your pictures, you are the best!!!!
Ms. Nicholls is a great person, but very hypocritical as a teacher. She expects a lot from students in terms of organization and content, but rarely provides the same. She's a hard marker but doesn't help students understand what she requires so they can'
Ms. Nicholl's is strict but it is for our own good in the long run. When push comes to shove she is always there for you.
