If you are a good student and hand stuff in on time, you and ms. hills will get along well and you can get a great mark. If you slack off, you're a goner. She is extremely helpful and takes time to give you help and explain things very well.
She is the worst English teacher I've ever met! Once I got my essay back. CLEAN only checks mark, no comments, correction what so ever. yet I got 80 on it. When I asked her what can I improve on, she cant even give me a proper feedback. All she said is maybe add some transition word. Anyway worst class to be in if you want to improve
Hills is really nice and is a really fair marker. You get what you put in. She doesn't really discuss the books with us though. For our group novels and the other independent books, she just says go read it and doesn't talk about the book with us as a class. Kinda odd
One of the best teachers i've ever had, she marks somewhat hard but she's really nice and gives lots of time to work on projects
Starting off, ms Hills is a very kind teacher. She expects us to work hard. However, I feel like she marks hard and no matter how much effort, revisions and time I put in, I couldn't not reach my goal grade. Her expectations are too high. If she would lower her expectations a notch, she would be a fantastic english teacher. Hope she lowers her standards.
She doesn't explain what we're supposed to do properly, when we were making our test study notes for A Mid Summer Night's Dream, my group finished early and after she looked at it she told us to just work on something quietly. However, the next day she told the class the proper formatting for the notes and it turned out we did it all wrong and had to re-do it. She is a good teacher because she marks easy on certain projects, but if you do the task correctly you will get at least an 80.
Boring she laughs at her own jokes even thought is not even funny
Hands down my favourite english teacher at irhs. She was very easy and despite the fact that I rarely showed up for class I still did well.
Great teacher, the only problem is that she uses the old grading system in which a level four is an 85. If she switched over than she would be an incredible teacher, but now the kid who has the highest grade in our class (and won the english award last year, very good writer) has about 85%
not the most helpfull teacher but quite good in the long run
slacking class..loved it..late everyday but she didnt mind, shes a good marker, i still did awesome in the class as well
doesn't teach us anything...TEACH! on the exam we didnt know what an "allusion" was cause you never taught us that
A nice person to talk to and will help you with any problems or questions you have for any assignment.
