Let's be honest here.
Yes, she was an easy teacher. No, I will never take French again in any sort of Institutional setting. That would be a long and tedious game of catchup.
We had Mrs MacVoy for Grade Nine French this year. She taught barely anything, excepting at the beginning of the year, where she told us to 'write a paragraph' despite not teaching us how, and then a lesson on Mardi Gras toward the end of the year.
TL;DR - If you get her, run, as fast as you can. It's not worth it.
Needs to be replaced......She's a nice person but an awful teacher. We hardly learn, I'm not quite sure how I'm going to pass the final.
She doesn't teach. She barely marks things. It's an easy A in that class if you have previous French experience. Goodluck if you have a different teacher the following year bc you'll be behind
Garbage. Garbage. Garbage.
One of the worst teachers I've ever had. She had only a few assignments that were weighted very heavily. The kicker- She lost most of this work. At first I thought it was only me, but then I went to meet with her at lunch and there was practically a line out the door to speak to her about their marks. Most of them had lost a large percentage of their mark to 'not handing their work in', which, for the record, they did. Always have a second copy of your work for when she loses it. Does not teach!
She is one of the easiest teachers at London Central Secondary School. Definitely one of the easiest teachers you'll ever meet, actually. But you still must do your work in class, or you'll fail the final french exam.
The worst teacher I have ever had, completely turned me off from an entire language (French). Doesn't do anything in class, when evaluation time rolls around she is an extremely picky marker. Gives marks for nice pictures, not actual French. Bribes students, lets them out early, speaks English the entire time. I doubt she can even speak French. Compacts a year's worth of information in the last two weeks of school (realizes she needs to do her job I suppose). Horrible.
Worst French Teacher i've ever had great social sciences teacher that's definitely her calling but languages are a deathtrap with her. Ace the year with her but then fail because you know nothing for the year after
very nice teacher ! had her for 2 of my 4 years at central
A great teacher! Realises that we don't really want to learn french and are only doing it because we have to.
if you get her you are lucky if all you want to get in french is a high mark. if you wanna learn some actual french switch to a different teacher
Awesome teacher, lots of fun, love her enthusiasm, helped me out a lot. A teacher who won't easily be forgotten.
good course to take if you want to do nothing, didn't learn any french, set me back a year
German class last year. Nice teacher, though she left in January. Would've loved to have her for 11 German this year but the school cancelled it.
SO EASY i passed with an 80 and did almost nothing. She's super nice too.
you are the best! you're fun, you sing, and you make french fun! The Italian Job was pretty cool, too.
She's an awesome person with a great personality. I just don't want to spend my year watching movies. She'd be better off working with people in a different way
clearly a french teacher to those who don't want to learn french! amazing!
Macvoy is a nice person but a terrible teacher. She really would be better teaching kindergarten or gr.1's instead.
Ya... french class = sit around and watch movies class!
shes awesome! she needs to teach more classes so that more teachers can enjoy tomorrow
It is supposed to be a french class, not movie studies!
