He is a good teacher although very demanding (i only got a 75). He knows his stuff and helps out a lot. I do agree however that his book is very hard to understand and is mostly useless. Good teacher.

Wow, the new edition of his book actually got worse. Instead of adding some more steps, he decided to put old steps into huge paragraphs so that we would get more lost in the woods. Good job Benson.

I love the Benson. Do the homework & memorize it and you'll score higher than a perfect grade on tests. If you don't do well on labs, don't worry... I scored 93 in his class even after failing a few.

Hmmmm Harris Benson..well for one thing he is VERY impatient. If you need everythin to be repeated prepare to be humiliated, his labs are disgusting, WHO FAILS LABS?!! ull say but its very possible with benson, the problems he gives you are hard to understand but when you do understand em ull do great on the tests. He doesn't give you anythin on the tests that you didn't see on those problems,so devote ur time to the book, make it your best friend!!!be serious and I promise you you'll do great!

I have to say that he's not that bad but he really doesn't know how to explain... His labs are easy but the lab reports are completely another thing... Whatever you do you'll always get 7-8/10. His tests could be easy when you did the assignments he gave. Don't try to understand what he says in class, read the book it could help SOMETIMES...

Very knowledgeable BUT tends to be rude towards students. Kind of impatient also, so don't ask too many questions. The labs are fairly easy, however, don't expect to get anything above 8/10 on the lab report. Tests are fairly easy. Pretty disorganized and almost never in his office. Pretty high drop-out rate; we were almost 30 students and only 8 left at the end of the semester!

Only take him if you are good at physics (or logical thinking). If that's the case you will love him, he's very interesting and he always uses good analogies to explain things. It's nearly impossible to get over 80% on his labs, but they don't count for that much. His tests are fair, not too many trick questions (as most physics teachers tend to do). BEWARE if physics is not your thing.
