Where do I even start,
I can't describe him in 500 words, it would literally take me 3 books, 6 seasons and a movie to get it done, haha. I graduated in 2010 and a lot of the things he talked to me about were all true. He wasn't just a teacher in math, but a counselor as well. He tried everyday to teach something new about life, using his past experiences or something he heard in the news and wanted to share his thought on it. He was like a second parent to me. I hope to see him again. :)
Mr. Kevork is really strict teacher, but he can be extremely funny and easy going alot. He is very knowledgeable in math and is always there for help.
Quite a character. In my first classes with him, I was really butt-hurt because he made fun of me (and other students) and made math a challenge. But he really grew on me and I have gained respect for math because of him. He can be extremely funny too.
Man, this guy is 74 and still teaching! He's a good teacher in terms of teaching life lessons, importance of independence, and he really does know his math like the back of his hand. If it's one thing that I've learnt from him, it's that: boy, does he love his plants! (Seriously, don't touch them.) He is most probably the strictest teacher I've ever come across, and his tests are the hardest I've ever done, but he is a good person and wants the best for all his students.
Very nice person but should work on professionalism.
Very, very good teacher. Knows Math like the back of his hands and easily one of the best teachers in Pocock. Math in Grade 12 is great... you either get Kontewicz or Kevork, both of which are very helpful. He also takes a lot of the seriousness out of Calculus and Vectors from time to time. Just don't get on his bad side.
All I can say is, that Mr Kevork is the single best math teacher i have ever encountered in my entire life of 12 years studying math at school. In fact, he is one of the top 3 best teachers i've met, period.
I've heard he's a good teacher, and I'm supposed to have him next year, but he hates me for some reason. In grade 9 he randomly yelled at me, saying that he's not my teacher or my parent that I could make fun of, and this year he tried to kick me out of the library during a test, because I was smiling with my friends. He claimed that I was making fun of his accent. AND because of the things he has done to be ... I will say That HE is VERY HHARD to understand.
I went to Pocock years ago and he was my absolute favourite teacher. He challenged me to think and always pushed me to do my best. He was also hilarious
Best teacher I've ever had... hands down... great at helping students who don't fully grasp concepts in math... but he also tries to help out with other problems they may be having.
Kevork is an amazing teacher he really puts himself out there for the students and makes class interesting. Funny, funny guy and really nice when you get to know him.
Kevork is an awesome teacher, not just in math, he tries to teach you how to be a good person. He may embarass you infront of everyone in class so you will feel ashamed but it's only so that you won't make the same mistake next time. I have alot of respect for him.
Ahh Kevork... What a guy. His class is about teaching calculus but every class I had with him about 90% of it was no calculus at all. He taught history, made us participate in school events, taught us tid bits of philosophy.. it was pretty much a life learning experience.. and then with about 10 mins left of class he taught the calculus lesson. plus the only concrete thing you learn in his class is derivatives. Easy class if you can do derivatives with no problem. I suggest to take AP
i had him for ap math last yr. he was ok, but he didnt teach much and he talked so slow that we used to fall asleep.zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
He teaches you more then math, its more of a life skills class. He makes class fun if hes in a good mood. Besides that hes the best guy in the world
The man has a good heart. I love his teaching style, he encourages independence. Hilarious in class too. His tests are hard as though, he pulls the most difficult questions he can find. His lectures have spirit, but they get repetitive. The man condradicts himself a lot too, but offers many opportunities. But come on, is it neccessary for him to be so depressive all the time? He always puts stuff down. I'm generally a very unhappy person, and he puts me to shame.
THHUUGGGEST TEACHER ALIVE...hahahaahaha ur a thug for nevr pikin on me during skool hahaha punked enuff ppl off though...LOL
The nicest teacher i've ever had, always believed i could do better, and boosted my mark when it wasn't very good. Thank you Mr.Kevork, you're a truly great person, even though you can yell alot ;)
I never had his class, but he lets us use his room at lunch. Just don't leave anything there. Every so often he'll be giving a lesson during his break os his class can catch up. Very cool teacher.
nice and funny, but expects a lot from you...if he likes you he'll boost up your mark, just be a good person
A very funny guy. Don't pop your gum in class. Teachers well also.
If you did not go to grade 4 dont bother taking calc as all formulas and equations are from that time
I love this man. He's so kind and wants to see you succeed.!!!
