I feel sorry for the student who posted below. Sometimes students don't even read the material for which they claim to have prepared a presentation. The books "read" by students are often not seen in their hands even one time in class. The nature of the assignments that Mr. Vassiliou gives is to allow students to determine what and how they want to learn. If some students want "cookie cutter" assessments, then they are right avoid Mr.V. and seek out the same old read and respond tasks.
Horrible teacher. Marks presentations without even watching them. Gave me such a low mark on it when he wasn't even watching any of the prez. Shows too much favourites. Gives assignments and doesn't explain anything. I hope I don't have him again.
He shows a tremendous amount of favouritism. Like frig man! Its so damn noticeable! And also, it would help if he stopped talking once in a while and just let the students think for themselves. Take a breather!
Great teacher mate
Great teacher, truly cares about how the students feel, tries his best to not complicated tasks but they still require your mind to operate at its highest point, more than fair, and a very kind person. Keep it up Sir!
I'm glad he is my engilsh teacher this year. i hope i have him for my grade 12 year too.
He single handedly saved the yearbook when he caught the editor designing an ENTIRE SPREAD of word search, and an ENTIRE SPREAD of a sepia tone shot with 5 students in it. They thought he didn't know what he was doing, but the truth is they maligned him because he knew his stuff better than they did. Thank you for giving me the space to be creative and calling the editors out when they weren't. I'll miss you!
honestly, the sweetest man you'll ever meet. very kind, helpful, and overall a decent man. his assignemnts for his writers craft course are fairly simple, and his marking technique is easy. although a bit of a pushover, he makes writing enjoyable, and is excited to see others passion for writing. treat him like a human being, he of most people deserves it.
The best eng teacher i can't name ONE bad thing about this man. Good teacher, patient, responsible, reliable, attention giver, respectful, optimistic, very fair marker, good human being. I loved him.
interesting classes..is always asking questions from the quietest students. a style i have not seen..underappreciated IMHO.
Mr. V is an amazing teacher; makes classes interesting and is an optimistic marker.he's always giving his input&help.best english teacher i've had..to the point where i made sure i had him next year:)
can i keep it short an sweet? ya, okay.... thankx mr. v! after this year see ya in 2035. for sure!
he's soooooo nice. will sit there and explain it until u get it and you do get it. i feel like part of his class already, he gives everybody attention.
What happened to alll THAT PASSION i heard so much of. Oh, well. Still a great course. He's very encouraging. Really believes in you.
Anyone see his wall of student work? Amazing. Mr. V knows his subject better than any English teacher I've had, and I'm in my last year. I can't believe he's leaving ENG in '06.
Mr. Vasilliou has an easy marking style, which I love - it's an optimistic view of what you were trying to say, which is very helpful. While his spelling might be a bit off ("Is there 2 t's in bitter?"), he's still great.
he's fair to all. Just pushes different buttons pending on the person.
Mr. V is nice and all that, but he is sometimes not fair to all students, and he's not easy at all, the class ave is very low.
He is one of the nicest teachers you will ever meet! He tries hard to make you understand, and he is very kind and lenient! Don't take advantage of his kindness
mr. v is the best teacher i've ever had. i like going to his classes.
Mr. V is a interesting teacher. His classes are fun and very useful.
