Mr. Purdy, I have only had him for less then a year so far and I am speechless. I wanted to change schools, but after being in his class for no longer than 2 days, I was hooked. This man is the perfect example of an educator. He not only shares his incredible knowledge with his students, but he gives us a better reality. He doesn't spoon feed us, and in high school we should not be spoon fed, opportunities do not just come to us, we gotta go get them. Mr. Purdy has changed the way I look at VC.
Mr. Purdy was and still is a fantastic teacher. He uses a lecture-style method of teaching in order to help his students prepare for university. One of the greatest coaches, teachers, and people I have ever had the opportunity to meet at Villanova College.
He's a really good teacher. He earned my respect in the one year he taught me. He teaches university style and expects the best of his students. He actually taught us how to write an essay! Yes, he's very strict outside of the classroom and when it comes to assignments. You just have to work hard but once you get to know him...you look forward to his class.
He's tough. Probably the toughest teacher I've ever had. But he's an amazing teacher - he cares and wants his students to succeed.
I guess students don't understand the concept of constructive criticism. Made you want to come to class by keeping it fun and by keeping you challenged. The definitions are tedious
You're a great teacher and coach. Thanks for always coming to the classroom just for us. It was great to have you. "I think therefore I am!" DeCartes.
A great teacher. Thanks for 4 great years of teaching. Funny, enlightening, inspiring, helpful and genuine. Schools need more teachers like you. Class of 2003!
