His teaching "style" is him playing videos of him teaching. If you don't understand something, go watch the videos again and do questions. The tests are super short (6-18 MC) which means that you're heavily penalized for every minor error w your calc
One of the best teachers are Vancouver Technical!. His test may seem hard, however with a little bit of studying and common sense you can ace his class. My final mark in physics 12 was 95%! one of the highest in 2011-2012. Chiefly, just take physics 12 AP as it is the same as physics 12.
He's a really harsh when it come's to tests. The questions are really hard.
I had him for physics 12 and he ruined my liking of physics. He was very nice however, I did not like his teaching style. We had 1 lab throughout the year and I think if we had more labs I would have understood the concepts better. You need to take notes on his videos and watch them multiple times to fully grasp the concepts. He is a very intelligent man though.
He gives most of the lessons by video and then assigns work afterward. If you have questions sometimes he will try to explain it to you assuming you also have your PHD in physics. As a result you don't understand half of the things he says because of his very scientific vocabulary. Once in awhile I
At first, I thought he was a pretty bad teacher. Taught you easy stuff in class and made the tests extremely hard, but as I went through the course, he turned out to be a pretty good teacher who knows a lot of good shortcuts and tips. Just watch his videos, follow his formulas
Mr. Best is a weird guy. Kind of fun to talk to, but isn't very helpful at all. His teaching is based on videos.. So if you miss one.. Screwed. He often leaves the class to play guitar in back room.
When you dont understand something, he just tell you to come watch the videos.
He's a very good teacher, and almost makes me comfortable with learning science from a man of God.
He might not necessarily be the most caring teacher, but he teaches well and knows a lot.
Mr. Best is a awesome teacher. He's been at tech for a long time. He even taught my dad Science!. He knows how to incorporate humour into the lesson and Is really smart. He taught us some really easy study tips!..I can even memorize the prime ministers of Canada! after one class!
This guys awesome, he's a good teacher, good attitude, rock on.
Although not my favorite teacher, he gave me compliments that is helping me want to try hard for he provincial.
doesn't bother to teach, keeps students busy with "seat work", while he sits in his couch, some students know more than him
The laziest teacher EVER!!! Why does tech only have ONE phys12 teacher??? i mean seriously!!! HAted him!
Hard if you want to get good marks in his class without cheating, because he's condescending and doesn't explain things well.
His multiple tests arn't that very hard, IF you know what you're doing. He's very unclear, had to actually hire a physics tutor when i got 92 percent last year.
Didn't learn much in his classes. Speeds through material, not helpful and unclear. Should give more worksheets for us to practice and review like Ms.Turner.
Best Physics teacher on site... actually the only physics teacher on site
Mr. Best is a very intelligent teacher. He has the ability to incorporate humour into his teaching. Oh yeah, his awesome magic tricks totally blows me. away.
A very smart teacher. But goes thru the material way too fast and is not helpful...pretty easy to cheat in his class
gotta study harder for his tests but he teaches well
not funny, but thinks he is. Check out the instantaneous velocity of his EGO
speeds through material. not very helpful or funny for that matter
