DO NOT TAKE HIM IF POSSIBLE! He likes to give millions of theorems and definitions but not examples.. He is by far the worst math teacher I have ever had! Your basically teaching yourself!
save urself & dont take him. ready to help yes, and is unlikely to fail u yes, and is reasonable yes, but u r always frustrated with confusion. thinks students should already no most of the stuff.
great teacher!!easy tests... doesnt take attendence.. lets you use memory aids... and teaches very clearlyyy!!!!!!
Nice teacher. Easyest grader at Vanier.Optional finals for 90%. Sometimes confusing in his explanations but allways ready to help.Do all the homework. I had 63 in CAl1 and 80 in cal2 really easy grade
One of the best math teachers! it is easy to pass if you take notes, and do exercises.Easy marker.
Taking his class was the biggest mistake ive ever done at Vanier. I got over 80 in cal I and I have under 50 now... Not organized, talks way too much and wouldnt do exercises in class at all.
alright teacher, funny at times, tests are do-able if you do the homework he give, knows his material!!
Typical Math teacher. Likes to digress into other subjects. Do the work, listen in class. I got 90% in the final Cal II exam.
Gordon is a man of math history. He’s class is fairly easy but you have to do some work. If you don’t slack you’ll get a 75 guaranteed!!
to me this teacher is one of the best math teachers ive met, he explains sooo well that u cant not understand, he's funny, if u get a 50 at the end u'll get a 60 nd pass, hes gr88! take him believe me
really chill teacher "this isn't a spectator sport guys, do some problems" lmaooo.. he is really laid back and doesn't care about much, very good teacher who knows his stuff very well
5/6 os the class skipped and he didnt care. came in late, he didnt care
worst math teacher ever...his teaching is all over the place..last semester i got 96 in cal 1 and this semester i got 75 (with boosting)...really bad teacher...don't take him..if u wanna do good...
He is all over the place, not doing things in an cronological (the word me is missing is logical) order. other than that he is GREAT, he loves math, and wants us to understand it.
(principles of math and logic): He was very good. The tests were not that hard, just a bit. I always hated math, but actually started liking what he taught. He is nice and comprehensible to people.
Generally a very good teacher. He definitly knows what he's talking about but may be a little hard to follow at times. Thing is with him, he explains everything to the slightest detail, which is good.
He in honestly one of the worst teachers i've ever had. He tought math and logic and unless you have to take that class and him, avoid him at all costs. His notes are everywhere, so are his lectures.
Horribly boring.. spends half the class on telling you the history of math
I did very well last semester with Stephen Newbigging. He`s amazing and he made me like math... but my liking of math soon came to an end when I took this teacher (not by choice). His notes are everywhere, he insults you when he feels like it, he`s always late for class as well. Tests are way too long!!! Only good things: he boosts the mark because people are failing and he gives an optional 100% final (which, in turn, helped me pass the class with a high 80, otherwise I would have failed).
k well... that's a bit exaggerated.. he'll only raise ur mark by MAX 5%. anyway... this guy is a mess.. he takes about 6-7 weeks to correct each test. Always talks about the babylonians for some reason and is really BORING. Tests are BRUTAL.. he makes the smartest people in class wanna cry. well.. avoid this guy if you can, that's all... and if you can't.. bring some coffee to class 'cuz you'll need it.
EXTREMELY sloppy, takes forever to correct tests. He is lazy and the notes are a disaster. Only good thing is he raises each test mark by 10-12%.
He wants to see his students succeed yet rambles on over his allocated teaching time. His tests are fair and usually boosts up marks.
There is only one thing that is good about this teacher and that is the fact that he raises the test scores. Otherwise, this guy is absolutely horrible, very poor explanations, wastes alot of time, very bad notes. He has very lame jokes and almost puts you to sleep in his class. I honestly cannot think of anything good about him exept for the fact that he boosts your mark. BOTTOM LINE AVOID HIM AT ALL COSTS.
BORING. Calculus 1 is easy stuff, but his class is just so boring that you cannot concentrate. Avoid him, there are many better cal teachers out there.
Funny teacher and clear explanation; a bit disorganized notes though. Long tests, but he boosts everybody's mark after. Fair marker, but wants u to explain whatever u'r doing in u'r test. Take him for linear, he's one of the best.
His tests are long, you have to know very well your materials before tests. He's very lazy and disorganized, not very helpful, and his notes are long and disorganized. His courses are so BORING. Though he's always late, he makes attendance :S 2 words: AVOID HIM!
Gordon is a really nice man. He cares about his students and really wants to help you. I took him for math&logic. However, its not always easy 2 understand
ONE MILLION NOTES, but they help you if you have time to find what ur looking for, bumps tests marks cuz they are too long to finish in 2 hours,
his tests are soooooooooooo hard and are hours long, but his notes are good.
one day he's so helpful the next day u anything he'll yell at u. very moody teacher, his tests r fair i guess but the way he teaches is wrong
this is the worst math teacher at vanier. I was soo lost wen ever i came into his class. he tests are HARD!!! to pass you gotta work really hard.
He will fly into the wonder world when he teaches. He forgets what he started with. Never take him !!!
Easy Marker cuz he boosts ur grades up when the average's real low, he teaches well. He knows Maths, he's a pro. EXCELLENT Professor.
EASY and helpful! Maybe too helpful! Excellent! just pay attention!
Boring teacher, OK since its linear alg. he bells tests, easy 80%
