The sarcasm is strong and funny.
Truly awful teacher. It shocks me how little effort is required for her job. Anyone could go to a class, tell the students to read for 45 minutes while doing her own thing, and then tell us to get into groups and work on questions which she never bothers to mark anyway. Her marking has little to no justification, she is extremely condescending, with little reason to be, extremely biased in her treatment of students, and extremely hypocritical. She also never gives a formal lesson.
She knows her stuff and is willing to help. You have to work for your marks and she is very fair.
Before I'd had her as a teacher, I'd heard such a vast array of opinions of Atkinson. The general consensus was that she was terrible and mean and a really hard marker, but that has not been my experience so far at all. She has a very dry sense of humour which is amazing, and genuinely cares about each of her students without picking favourites. She is very knowledgable with everything she teaches, and is always happy to help. I'm so glad I got her in my final year.
Ms. Atkinson... well... I don't have her pinpointed just yet. And there's only a month left of school, so I don't think I'll ever have her pinpointed. There are times when I despise her, and there are times when I love her. It really depends. She's extremely intelligent and knowledgable, I'll give her that. Her humour is quite dry, but at times she can be hilarious without even meaning to. Gives alot of surprise quizzes in which I fail. Makes us spend half the class reading. She's mediocre...
One of the worst teachers I have had in my life. Really cocky and rude to some of her students... particularly MALE students. Very Rude. She marks assignments very hard. She is not clear when giving instructions. She always says that she cannot hear her students when they talk to her, but when she is teaching, she is quiet as a mouse. You need a hearing aid to hear. Also did I mention she is rude to her male students?
Smart lady and all but whispers everything and is fairly rude... Seriously, you need a hearing aid to understand her (Hyperbole, thanks Mr. Pizzuti)
She is a knowledgable teacher that can get the things you need to know throught to you.
Ms. Atkinson seems to have a polarizing effect on her students. However, love her or hate her, you're going to come out of this class knowing how to write an essay. She's hard, but fair. Recommended.
She's a good teacher, and definitely knows what she's doing. If you give her your respect you will have hers.
She's actually a good teacher, even though she's older she still knows how to keep things interesting
A lot of people think she's difficult but I always learn a lot from her. Ask for help and she'll give it. If you take the time in her class you'll do very well. She's a no-BS person, which I like.
Great teacher. Makes students earn their marks but is always fair. Knows her stuff, wonderful lady. If you do the work to the best of your ability and are respectful you will succeed.
Too quiet, and a little intimidating. Really smart though, and you learn a lot!
she is extremely friendly and intelegent. She is a great teacher but you will have to work hard to recieve a good mark.
An Excellent English teacher! Very knowledgeable and very funny.
Great teacher. Tough but fair. Keep on her good side and do your homework.
Best English teacher I had at Central. If it was between Ms A or Harder I would pick Atkinson in a second, but if you are a potential student try shutting up and listening to her
