0/10 would not learn again would not recommend to a friend
throws objects like dictionaries, pencils and chalkboard erasers at students
Uts isn't the same without him! And since I know he reads these, WE MISS YOU, MR. DISANTE!
I think he was quite knowledgeable but he didn't explain things well and a lot of self-learning was required. Class was often off topic and I didn't really like his sense of humour
crazy, does pick favourites, never remembers names, and has time management problems but if you're a good match for his teaching style, you'll be fine. hes passionate about the subject and knows literally everything. he's pretty funny too
he seems crazy but he actually knows EVERYTHING
Nice if you don't have him, Can be challenging if you do. Good guy overall though
Mr. Di Sante has his favourites in the class (i.e. the kids whose names he knows without having to check the attendance list) and the kids who he picks on. If you're not a teacher's favourite in general... you better try to be one in Mr. Di Sante's class or your year will be a tough one... He's never afraid to call your parents if you misbehave in his class! And don't speak out in class without raising your hand, it's one of his pet peeves. But he does know his stuff and is very knowledgeable.
Mr. DiSante is a pretty awesome teacher!! he knows a lot about what he talks about!!!!!!
Mr.Disante, you are the best teacher I have ever had and I kept all of my notes from your class and still look over them, though it's been five years. I miss you and your sense of humor immensely
He is not helpful at all. He picks favorited and is insane. I actually had to switch courses because I couldn't understand him at all. He wouldn't help me with any of the problems I was having with the material and picks on certain people. I hate him.
he picks favorites and spends a lot of time raging at students. He is funny and if you try hard enough you will see some improvement in your marks. However If you are on his bad side it is near impossible to go to his good side and he tells you about tests only 1 class in advance. You will have tests every week and thought they seem easy at first as time goes on and you get harder and harder material, the average mark of the class will go from a 90 to like an 75.
The opposite of strict... just don't be on his bad side. Roa is the best subject ever! And I'm in F2!
A hilarious, eccentric character with a maniacal devotion to extra-curricular activities, but should not be qualified for anything above M3 Latin. While knowledgeable about ancient history, that course is practically gone (RIP ROA). His Latin is not as strong as it should be to teach an older class, and his explanations are often hard to follow...or wrong. That being said, his quirks involve threats of defenestration, stuffed snakes in the cupboard, and a lunatic devotion to extra-curriculars.
He is an amazing teacher and lecturer. He is fairly strict and holds high expectations. I do not agree that "easiness" should be a factor in determining how good a teacher is. Mr. Di Sante is not "easy", but he is dedicated to teaching and if you show that you want to learn, then you will learn a ton.
He is funny, but a little bit weird. He sometimes threatens to throw kids out windows. But he's a good man at heart.
He isn't exactly the most level-headed teacher out there, but he can teach :D
A very involved man, he teaches some 110 students and is in several extra-circular activities. Goes very quickly in class, but is very clear and helpful if you ask him outside of class
As a teacher he is very strict and scary, yet hilarious. Outside the class, he is just hilarious. I would say he was not very helpful to me. I had a problem that he refused to help fix for his class.
he threw a tissue box and then a dictionary at me and then i fought back GO DEFENESTRATION
if u have him, prepare to get defenestrated tis all i have to say
great teacher, very passionate about his subject. ratings are being trolled by grade sevens who don't like ROA (ancient civ).
he's the best teacher you could ever have for latin or roa
Cool teacher in ROA, bad teacher in Latin. I suppose it all depends - like Ianine, he's a great teacher when you like the subject, but if you hate it .... well .... buh-bye, 80 average.
Mr. D is so funny in ROA. He gives a lot of hmw, but we told him about it, and he fixed the problem. The threats are awesom
The absolute best teacher I EVER had at UTS. He is BRILLIANT and may even help you w/ your French hw! The best, funniest, most passionate teacher I've EVER HAD.
haha he's a great teacher who can actually keep you awake, which is hard in a subject like latin. MAKE WAY FOR WISDOM!!
mr disante's okay... but he randomnly checks our notes, and spazzes at the entire class when we dont do something. but sometimes he tells funny stories that have nothing to do with the lesson.
He's a really fun teacher. He repeats things though, but then i guess it helps us memorize notes...
he knows his subject really well, and he marks fair, but in class he can be a little bit unfair towards certain people. he teaches the stuff really well, especially in M3 Latin. In F2 Latin however, he could've been bettwe with the explanations. I've had him since F1, and overall he's a good teacher
um...hi. i'm just browsing. i'm goin to this school next yr.
Come on... the only jokes he can think of are defenestration or "evil child" and he picks on people and he's mean and hoenstly, he doesn't know how to teach... its always bout taking notes
FUNNY FUNNY FUNNY teacher. almost never gives homework to f1's
Nice guy, but kind of a nut. Gives too much work. Part of the reason I left.
awsome teacher...but the tests are hard if you don't study!
good in fi, but nasty towards the seniors -- feels his control and power are threatened. and classics is self-combusting.
one of the best teachers I have ever had in my life. has a designer clothing habit, though :p but it's okay, he's italian.
very unprofessional. unable to control his class. poor attitude towards students (treats them like his "enemy"). unreasonable demands. need i say more?
DiSante is WEIRD!!!!! But of course, that is why he's a great teacher.
mr. disante throws tissueboxes, EOtP books, odysseys, eats your hat, sleeps during projects, and hitts you with his new plastic stick thats 2ft long! lov'im tho
i was scared of him at first. then he was my fave teacher. he roxx
HE IS MY TEACHER AND HE IS THE COOLEST TEACHER YOU WILL EVER GET!!!
UTS's best teacher yet. F1s'll probably be really scared of him, but after that they'll love him lots and regret that he won't be teaching f2.
Mr. Di Sante is honestly one of our best teachers. True enough, his methods of teaching are..interesting, but he's so dynamic, so fascinating.
insane, defenestration, flying OTA textbooks + dictionaries + tissue boxes, eccentric, flipper, eat hats: we love him as a teacher.
F1 would've been boring without him...he's the coolest teacher EVER!!
Slightly off-keeter and who knows how his mind works, but extremely dedicated and a wonderful teacher!!!
pretty cool, likes to defenestrate/choke/pinch and strangle students.
I can picture him being dragged away someday screaming in a strait-jaket to an asylum. But until then he's great.
without him uts would be boring (especially for the F1's) he is the funniest and coolest teacher ever!
great teacher! his classes are a lot of fun...especially ROA
He's scary, thats why everybody loves him as a teacher
This guy is soooo funny. Beware of the fact you may be defenestrated (thrown out the window)/ pelted with tissue boxes or OTA textbooks
two words: the. coolest. :D cant picture UTS without you, when you leave :( "1,2,3, disante, 4,5,6, disante ..."
Well, he is definitely insane... But, he makes ROA really funny and not as boring... he is definitely evil however...
UTS's top teacher. Lively and knowledgeable, exciting classes (esp. ROA). Go on his trips to Italy and experience his knowledge of theft and bribery firsthand.
Great teacher. I don't understand why the front row keeps falling asleep... Maybe Mr. Disante tranquilises them...? Just kidding =D
When asked to describe a teacher from UTS, Di Sante is the first that comes to mind. He's an exelent representative of the UTS spirit... kinda scary, really.
excellent teacher. just don't get on his wrong side.... oh, and don't expect him to know your name. but cool nonetheless.
by far the funniest teacher ever! Don't stop teaching!
Once gave a 5 min. summary of the 20th cent. with more clarity, depth and understanding than any history book, standing in the Doges' palace in venice. Special.
The greatest languages teacher around, especially for Latin.
Dise is WAY cool. By far my favourite teacher of all time. Really knows his stuff and teaches with an impossible amount of enthusiasm. Class is hardly ever boring since you just can't ignore him. He's too hilarious to ignore. GO FLIPPER.
awesome teacher... EXCELLENT knowledge of material and great enthusiasm. great.
Vicious, cruel man. May be good in high school classes, but not for kids.
dynamic and amazing teacher, but evaluation is quite arbitrary and formless
