AVOID his intergrating seminar class, he is super strict and a HARD marker. Because of him, my r-score went down...You better take Gisela Mutter, a very sweet lady!!

AVOID his 103 french where he makes you read slavic novels. We are supposed to do FRENCH literature, but that guy will teach SLAVIC soul... it makes no sense.

we are in a french class, but that guy taught us about the slavic culture...no sense. he is so passionate about the slavic literature. but be CAREFUL, extremely a hard marker.

He is a very passionate man, he is very knowledgeable and he takes the time to help out his students and to listen to them, recommend him to anyone who wants to learn a lot!

He is awesome as a friend, but not as a french teacher. He expects a lot from you, I tried very hard in his french classes, he alwas gave me discouraging marks. AVOID his french classes...

He is a great cultural currents teacher. He's very enthusiastic about the subject and he's a fair marker. Also the tests aren't too hard, just study a little. Also, he gives really good notes.

Eric was AMAZING! I took his CC2 course 2 years ago. My class loved him. He was a fair grader, was not too demanding and treated all the students like equals. Def my fave teacher EVER! <3

I wouldn`t say that he is a good french teacher, but he is a great speaker. He loves to challenge his students in 103 french. If you want to have great marks, DON'T take him!!!

He is a good teacher and I don't think he's a hard marker. Most people might not like him b/c they don't like french in general and are not willing to make an effort, but he's worth the try,so TRY HIM

Avoid his French classes at all cost!!! He's a nice guy, but if you want heavy workload and a boring French class, take him! Although, I think he's ok for Cultural Currents.

His cultural currents class makes me fall sleep, althought the content sounds fun. He lectures the way that makes him seem so knowledgeable. But boring classes.

Eric is a very nice and also demanding teacher. He doesnt really get involeved with his students in class. The course material is very challenging for his french class, but maybe his cultural currents is cool.

Had him for both CC & Integrating Seminar. Sure, he's a tough marker, but SUCH a great human being. Don't miss your chance to take him - it's my advice to you.

cultural currents: funny guy, loved to be in his classes. he is very clear with his notes, always had powerpoint pictures to go with lectures

Eric is a great teacher! He might actually be the nicest french teacher i ever had! I'm honestly not that good in french and i was able to pass with an overall average of 78!!! take him!! :)

Eric is a great teacher. He actually cares about what he is doing here at Vanier and he gets along well with you if you are willing to try your best. Good guy to go talk to and he makes class fun!

He's really cool and a great teacher. However, if you ever try to reach him by phone or e-mail, he does not reply!!! So he loses cool points for not being polite. :(

He was fantastic. Not only did he know what he was teaching us (CC2) but you could tell that he loved it too. He made me like the subject so much more and the class was always having cool discutions.

CC - You don't really learn anything. But he's very nice, friendly, funny, and makes class relaxing and enjoyable. Tries to do field trips to make it more fun, and EASY TESTS! Pay attention in class!

I had him for CC2 and i loved him. He seemed to like what he was teaching and i nvr wanted to miss a class. We went to the fine arts museum twice and i actually had fun! I got 89%.Wish there was CC3.

He's nice. I had him for Cultural Currents, and it was fun. If you actually do the readins he asks us to do (which nobody does by the way), you'll get amazing grades. However, if you don't, you can still pass if you study very hard before the tests. Another nice thing about Erik is that if the class asks for an easy test, that's what he'll give. Highly recommended!

Great guy! His french classes are different from any standard french courses you would take. He doesn't make you do grammar and verbs and all that boring stuff...no...instead there are a lot of discussions and you can always express your opinion. The class is relax, take him, you'll see, he's a really kool guy!

He's a very nice teacher. He doesn't treat students as if they were inferior to him, he treats them as adults. He's always there for you whenever you need help and if he sees that you put effort into his class he'll like you. He's a cool guy!!!

OK, maybe for languaged he is really cool, but stay away from him with cultural currents. He is INCREDIBLY booring and looooong. He is however SUCH a nice guy, so you cant help but like him at the same time.

I missed one whole week of intensive Russian 1 and got 75 !!! Really easy and cool teacher. He'll make you want to learn the language and you won't even want to miss a class !
