I really liked Mr. Hanes. He was really mean to people with learning disabilities and IEPs (he said they were just slackers who weren't trying), but if you were in an academic class and you were generally nice to him (like me), he'd treat you well. I was nicknamed Sneezy. It wasn't derogatory, it was just his way of relating to people. If you were in academic, he was funny, odd, and likable. If you were in applied, or had an IEP or learning disability, it sucked for you. That's it.

mr hanes is my favourite!! he doesnt make any sense, and we dont learn very much cuz all our time is spent listening to him tell completly random stories about his life. hes very blunt and sometimes EXTREMLY rude, but he makes my day :)

I think whoever dislikes Mr. Hanes doesn't understand the true meaning behind LEARNING. He is a great individual, incredibly bright and is right to the point. The only discrepancy I have with his teaching style is his uncanny ability to go off on a tangent about nothing with the other students when I just want to learn! Over all he is an amazing individual and I wish him the best of luck with retirement. :)
