I've always known Mr. Durksen as a knowledgable teacher who makes a concerted effort to connect with his students. It really impressed me when I learned that he turned down an acceptance into medical school in order to teach. Overall, this is a solid person and teacher, one who I am honoured to have been taught by.
He's an awesome dude! his class is always fun and interesting, I really like him!
NO FLEX ZONE NO FLEX ZONE NO FLEX ZONE
He tends to have his 'emotional moments' at times, usually when he hasn't had his 6 cups of coffee or has to teach on an empty stomach. He is not at all strict with homework or class participation. Other than our exam, we only had 2 tests in the whole year. He assigns extremly easy projects and marks generously.
I have known Doug Durksen for six years and for that entire time, I have known him to be a terrific teacher. More important is that he is an even better guy.
Funny guy, doesnt challenge his classes enough. In grade 10 science he goes patronizingly slowly. He is altogether a very good teacher.
very moody is nice one day and angry the next, has extreme favouritism.
NO MORE NOTES! PLEASE! The only reason I like social studies is because it gives me time to relax. I always leave the room knowing no more than what I already knew.
he's doing pretty good considering he used to teach senior science and math and now he's teaching grade 7 Geography.
Always gives full info on assignments, pretty flexible and a good sense of humour.
Great teacher, too bad his class is so easy it gets incredibly boring.
