Lynden Dorval has been fired for caring about the process of learning. It is a disgrace that superintendents and principals have become so concerned with the politics of education that they are willing to ignore its purpose, that of turning our youth into productive members of society (I suppose they could always become administrators). I applaud Mr. Dorval and, as a teacher myself, will follow his lead if the idiocy of a no-zero policy should rear its ugly and stupid head in my district.

The sole fact that Mr. Dorval refuses to allow lazy students to get away with not doing the work required to be successful in life shows he is not only a good teacher, but also one of those few people in life who has that rare thing called "common sense". If you honestly think that "if you don't do the work it won't matter" your in for a real treat when you get fired for being useless.

He's a very good teacher, just a bit boring. But that's only because he goes through examples a lot. He's known for being boring, but if you're the kind of student that struggles with physics he's perfect.

All you high school kids will fully appreciate what Mr. Dorval is doing for you guys right now. He may seem strict and hard and a bad teacher right now, but wait until you get to university. You will realize what this guy is doing and he is actually helping you prepare for uni. Great teacher. Sad to hear that he is suspend.

I heard about the recent events with Mr Dorval, and i think they're quite ridiculous. While i do agree that he wasn't the greatest physics teacher, it's not like he was completely incomprehensible. What students need to realize is that they won't always get the teacher they want, and this is especially coherent when students go to university. It's plain and simple: if you don't study, you'll suffer the consequences of getting zeros. Dorval did a great job in preparing me for university.
