I heard Dorris Miller passed away in early June, she was very knowledgeable and nice as well, yes she was weird but at least her classes were interesting and she was one of the only people that truly cared about our planet and for that I thank her and hope she rests in peace.

It is very upsetting to hear this news. Doris Miller has passed away. Despite our disagreements I do believe Mrs.Miller really did try make a difference in our world through environmentalism and demonstrated great passion for what she did despite her illness and old age. May she rest in peace.

Teachers like this are the best possible argument against unions. How has this crazy woman not been fired!? Run screaming from her class. Inappropriate and regular basis and just mean to those who disagree with her in public.

Not a good choice. If you are opiniated then you will get into arguments with her. If you keep to yourself, you will get a good grade. It will hurt your R score though because many people get the same grade.

ABSOLUTELEY INSANE!!!!! Luckily for me I was on her good side, however she goes off on two hour lectures on how a wet land is important to preserve because of something to do with a butterfly that started its journey from Mexico, meanwhile the class topic of that day was marine life.... Very easy class, just VERY boring!

Words cannot describe this woman. She is completely deranged and believes that saving 2 birds over 1 human is normal. I have no idea what the hiring requirements are for teachers but they must be low.

Do things the way she wants and you will do well. Supposedly the homework isn't really worth 10% because I didn't do it and still got over 90%. You will think her stories are fictional but they aren't

2 things 1) start her assignments the second she assigns them. 2) Bring something to do in her classes, as 3 hours in her class can seem like 12. Follow these rules, and I guarantee you'll do fine in her class.

She's very knowledgeable, however her classes and assignments are extremely difficult and require A LOT of work on them. Her classes are definitely not easy and assignments are worth 40% at a time. Not an easy course load so if you're looking for an easy pass or humanities course, do not take her!

i learnt a lot from her class, but her workload was INSANE! For the first class she spoke to us for 3 hours about shrimp, which is pretty much what she did for every class until we started doing our presentation. As long as the assignments are (~10 and 20 pages each) if you follow her mandatory outlines she will give you a decent passing grade. she gets really funny when she is trying to defend her points and it is her way or the highway.

It is her way or the highway...she is an easy marker but she gives an INCREDIBLE amount of work for a humanities teacher. did learn a lot from the class but all of my other classes suffered because of the work load from this class alone. She gives two assignments. My major paper was 21 pages long with 100 footnotes. If you are prepared to work like a maniac then take her...at your own risk. But don't say I didn't warn you!

she gives you the opportunity to get 100 overall, but demands A LOT of work for it. But no tests! I'd recommend her for anyone who is serious.

She is extremly picky about footnoting and outlines for papers(which are super long). If you follow these outlines EXACTLY, no more no less, you should be ok and get in the 90's. Her class is long and really boring. She sits there and rants and raves, and you can't get an opinion in edgewise. The worst part of the class is that you READ your entire paper infront of the class, which makes golf seem like an extreme sport. Just sit in the back where she cant see you, and you can nap a bit.

I thought i was going to fail her class but left with an 84%. You have to put in a lot of work that may in turn affect the outcome of your other grades. As long as you hand everything in you will get a good mark, even if it is all late....and at the end of the semester, when classes are over!

The only thing is that there is A LOT of work to do. But the bright side is that you can EASILY get high 90s, even 100. Her lectures are long, but you don't even have to pay attention! Just give your OPINION when she asks for it and you'll get flying marks. And you'll actually learn a lot if you pay attention. I usually have trouble with humanities courses (this was my third), but this one was the first one that I got a high grade.
