Morrow has NO control of the class. She's a joke. It's like being taught by a sub all year.
I honestly don't know why she's a teacher if she doesn't seem to have any patience, seems to hate teenagers, and usually has terrible emotional control. She sends students out of the class for expressing normal human behaviour (ex. holding pencils, tying hair), and she's extremely passive aggressive, condescending, hypocritical, and simply forces so many students to dislike her. To get on her good side, don't talk and don't move.
Having her changed my life. I definitely switched school and got a higher grade in English in grade 12 than in her grade 11 class. She made me think I was a stupid student as I got a 65 in her class. But I got a 95 in grade 12 and I didn't work as hard as I did in her class. I was always afraid of her. But if it wasn't forget I wudnt decide to change schools and live a better life and graduate with higher grades and get into my dream uni. So I thank her sort of.
I've never met such a hormonal, menopausal woman in my life. It's like she lives in the movie "beautiful mind" because she is genuinely fxcking twisted. Or maybe like the black swan, because she constantly imagines the students torturing her. She is the definition of mood swings. She is a drill sargient. If you are capable of displaying human emotions, contain every last drop of happiness before entering her classroom, and hold back the sadness because she'll ruin you.
She probably has some kind of mental disorder (bipolar?) so her temper tantrums aren't really a result of a character defect. She should get help and I hope she finds it soon. The school is very irresponsible for allowing her to behave this way towards her students and not intervening. Overall, not an mean-spirited person, just unstable.
I love her. Honestly, she's an amazing teacher. DO NOT GET ON HER BAD SIDE. She does have extremely bad days, so beware. Don't talk while she's talking, ever. Listen to her instructions, and do all your asignments to the best of your ability. If you listen to her and work hard, you will do fine. Lots of kids didn't do well because they didn't try. I had her for photography and I loved it. You learn so much and she really knows how to teach. MAKE HER LIKE YOU.
Omg. Worst teacher I've ever had in my entire life!! If you ever find out you have her as a teacher, drop the course or transfer to another class IMMEDIATELY. I swear, she has it our for everyone. Best to just avoid her at all costs. O__o
BIPOLAR TO THE MAX!!!!!! She's mentally ill, as previous students have mentioned. She takes out all of her emotions and home problems out on the kids. There is absolutely no respect for anyone, she always tells everyone to shut up. Psychopath.
Despite her teaching, she is a horrible teacher. She often leave class for more than 20 mins just to talk to another teacher..I forgot my new mug in her class once and when i came back to look for it. She has already thrown it in the garbage..really?
She can be tough, but it is possible to get a good grade. She doesn't do a lot of oral presentations or media. She actually focuses on writing and reading. She teaches very clearly and is informative. She dissects Shakespeare and novels very well if you have trouble understanding. Be forewarned that she has a lot of mood swings and is extremely strict in how the classroom functions. I believe she's a fair marker. Participate! It's a good sign if she remembers your name for the right reasons.
best teacher! she actually teaches. she cares alot about her students and is really strict
Ms. Mondrow is a great English teacher! She is very strict, her instructions are clear, she has very good handwriting, she is very helpful especially when it comes to writing. In order to be successful in her class I'd advise future students to behave properly in her class, don't be late and DO your Home WORK! She is definitely not the type of teacher you'd want to mess around with.
She can be extremely nice and extremely mean. She's nice when she gets some sleep and she's mean when she doesn't. She is really fair most of the time. Overall, she is extremely knowledgeable but sometimes has some irrational mood swings.
just be on time and don't talk and she'll like you. if you don't do your homework, that's your fault. I thought she was an amazing teacher.
She is an amazing teacher. I had her for two years and will do whatever it takes to get her for a third. Understanding, intelligent, and open-minded, I always looked forward to our class discussions.(Although I was a very quiet student.)
She has a very unique sense of humour. Although I didn't feel like I learned much from her, I like my English class this year because of her.
She acts unacceptably sometimes. However, to her credit, she did teach me a lot.
She has her moments where she just bursts out, but she has her reasons. She has lots to do, and maybe her temper is a little short. However, i got my first 80 mark with her, and I feel like i learned alot cause the stuff she taught me improved my english. i was getting 50s back then D:
She's very strict on who is the authority figure (her), but she means well to prepare us for the future.
We didn't do anything all year, and thinking back, I can't remember a single thing I learned in her class. She might be nice at times but is also very irrational. She thinks she is the absolute athority on everything, and is quite condescending. I think she means well but she's really not a good teacher.
yeah she does randomly pick on people and single them out sometimes for no reason :x also she favors claude watson ppl, and people with older siblings. can be annoying sometimes with weird lectures. btw, she gets off topic and basically loves to waste time. xD we do nothing in her class. lol we're now 2 month's in and we actually only handed in one assignment! x3
picks on people for no reason. Always get her way around.
AWESOME! Helpful, and shows genuine concern for her students. bring a stapler to class kids!
Ridiculously inept. I remember when she subbed for Mr. Panjer once in Photography class - she turned the light on in the darkroom, exposing my prints!
okay, basically what everyone said, she has mood swings. BUT! i learned a lot from her. im actaully really thankful that i had her in grade 10. better than giardine, anyway...
just talk to her about Bon Jovi, or give her things with Bon Jovi on them, i. e CD'S T-shirts, ANYTHING!! na dyou'll get on her good side, also if your italian, or can speak it, or know alot about it, that's a plus, she loves italy.
incoming students: she has major mood swings and will continually pick on the same kids. easy marks, is occasionally in such a happy mood and you can joke around w/her..... the next class she's absolutely atrocious. brings the term 'mood swings' to a WHOLE NEW LEVEL MY FRIENDS. YOU WILL SEE....
Worst teacher ever. Can't communicate......MMMMMMOOOOOODDDDY! She should look at trying another profession
has good intentions but lets her mood swings get the best of her lol. very interesting year, to say the least
amazing, intelligent teacher, but REALLY moody and scary at times!tends to pick on certain ppl in class for dumb things, but lets her faves get away w/ anything.still,a fair marker
she's cool when she's not in one of her "moods". had her for 2 years already. she never got mad at me. and she always, ALWAYS interrupts presentations, even if she said she won't.
Everyone's right about the mood swings and getting on her good side. but shes generally pretty fair and gives good marks by the end of the year.
I picked up tidbit here and there, but they are very well hidden order a MOUNTAIN OF EMOTION! Smart, but not enough to make up for her mood swings, and bias!!
She was so rude to my mother, changed the instructions on assignments on the due days... And she IS the queen of the mood swing.
I really hated her last year, but you know...she's not that bad. She really knows her stuff and she's willing to teach it to you.
Despite all her mood swing days, she's a very good teacher. She's very fair.
Very hypocritical teacher. Although she marks okay, her class is extremely unpleasant. VERY moody teacher and has a negative attitude towards students.
Nice teacher if u give her the right 1st impression, though is often hypocritical. Often interrupts student presentations to throw in her own thoughts.
I thought I'd have a strict but fair english teacher this year and what I got is an boheme minded person, who marks on moods, and adds marks to ppl she likes.
Way too emotional and picky. It's true you learn a lot though.
I used to get high 80s but only got a 70 on the 1st assign., after that i worked 10x harder and realized that i learnt SOO much in her cls; my final avg was 94!
RUUUUUUN FOR YOUR LIIIIIIIIVES! really really smart but very moody. (pls help, she hates meee)not easy, but fair, and helpful!
i HATED her last year but i realize now how much of a good teacher she is and the AMOUNT OF STUFF i learned from her! she used to hate me last yr 2 not anymore!
she's a nice person, and seems to be a good teacher, but she has too many mood swings and is sometimes really mean.
I loved her. I'm in university now, and honestly I even miss her mood swings!!!
She's a amazing english teacher! Don't let the mood swings get in the way of recogning that. You'll learn A LOT in her class.
Don't let her occasional crankiness blind you to the fact that she's an excellent teacher
It seems as if she brings her personal feelings about you into the marking scheme. Didn't learn all that much. She can get quite riled up and emotional.
i love her as a teacher and a person but if she's having a bad day hide
Best english teacher I've ever had. I learned so much from her!
She's a great person... Just when she isn't in a bad mood.
way too emotional. and rude. and has bad days too often.& screams at random ppl
