Here's the thing - passing his class is easy peasy, because he lets you retake tests and the questions are identical. However, if you take him you will NOT get through the final. The only way I did was reading Calculus for Dummies and extensive tutoring. Seriously, even if you have to make it up in the summer, or take an extra semester (we all do it), it's worth it. I cannot stress enough how terrible he is.

He isn't well. He isn't in any shape to teach, whatsoever. The only way to learn is to attend class, sit in the corner and work on your own. You should only listen when he gives you assignments. We got lucky to get a replacement mid-year due to his illness. You can't expect to pass with him since not only does he not teach well, but he will often teach you the wrong things or skip chapters. The only way you can hope to pass is to work on your own time with the book.

I'm sure he may be a nice person, but the classroom is not the place for him. Disorganized, late to class, off topic often, not able to see his notes, copies solutions from the textbook and has trouble explaning in depth because of this, assignments were just checked but not corrected, I suspect because he can't see. AVOID. He should no longer be teaching. Unfortunate that the administration waited so long to switch our class back to our original prof.

He left mid semester and when we had a good teacher come in, she said that he didn't even teach us half of the formulas and concepts..imagine what would have happened if he was there for the whole semester.

Quite likely, I swear without exaggeration, the absolute worst teacher at John Abbott. Unclear, disorganized, rambles, does not teach the right material/anything at all. Re: The person who said you have to do all the assignments... you can do one assignment and show it to him each class for the whole semester. He won't notice or care. If you think you can pass the exam without ever learning anything in class though, taking him is quite an experience.

IF YOU WANT TO PASS. YOU MUST DO ALL THE ASSIGNMENTS!! and its not enough to just do the problems you really need to understand them. Also his tests are usually identical to the assignments he gives, so the key to passing his class is doing your homework because there is no way you can learn anything when he explains it on the chalkboard...Its also good if you go see him in his office, he is reallly helpful, but I think in class he gets nervous or sumthing and like starts to stutter when you ask a question.
