Best teacher at Power hands down. Love him.
I came from other school. He was the best thing that happened to me. I feel really prepared for university now that I had him. I feel grateful having him. You are the best. Thx.
confusing at times. knows a lot but writes all over the board and doesn't wait for students to copy down
Some of my peers were talking about him recently and we all agreed in saying he has been the best Math teacher we ever had at Power. He is also a cool guy. He includes history of math and tells stories that are interesting. Thanks sir!!
iam former student and have entered second year at waterloo. He is an aswesome teacher and really prepared me for engineering. He really made me understand the concepts and thank him for all the extra effort he put in.
i just want to say that he made class fun and it's math
he is knows his stuff and good at explaining it
I wish I had him from grade 9. thanks for making Calc easy to understand. In my lifetime.................................
My mark went up 10% after having Bissada. I thoroughly enjoyed his class. Real life.....real drama.
I switched into his class. Best move I ever made at Power. He is an awesome teacher. He passionate about math and wants everyone to understand.
I had Bissada for Functions first semester and then for Calculus 2nd. His lessons are really clear and he is great at explaining. He is one of the best math teachers at Power. His tests can be challenging though. He is funny and makes class interesting.
I like the date at the beginning. Not the same routine. I think he has really prepared me for university. You rock sir!!
Tells too many jokes and wastes his time trying to impress popular students. Also, when we have more than one example he will start with the last one since it is already on the board, as he is too lazy to reteach the entire lesson the way it was supposed to be taught.
Very unclear with explanations (and unsure of his own work) and wasted the first 10 minutes of every class with a bad pun related to the date. Also made a lot of jokes and was the only one to laugh at them.
Not the best teacher. If you can grasp concepts easily, lucky you. But if you have one part you're unsure of, he'll explain it the exact same way...he won't try to explain it to you in a way you'll understand....my mark dropped 10 percent from the year before to his class. (I had him for gr 11 IB data management). Now i'm in a different teacher's class and my mark has risen once again. not very clear, he assumes you already know everything. I suggest another teacher (i.e. Benincasa)
Horrible Teacher. Assumes everyone understands the material and he is never there for extra help. It is clear he doesn't care about his students; every time someone asks a question or wants clarification, you would hear a sigh or an expression of annoyance. He doesn't go that extra mile to help his students understand, rather he puts a bare minimum effort into achieving understanding and clarity (at least in the 3 classes I've had with him). Many of my peers would strongly agree.
He absolutely ruined my life I can not being to explain how much i regret not switching out of his class. In grade 10 ib my math average was a 97 with another teacher and in grade 11 ib my mark dropped over 20 percent with bissada. I tried just as hard, did all my homework,my mark wasnt inflated before because all the ib classes write the same tests but his teaching was so incredibly horrible. Most days he wouldnt finish the lesson and just leave..I hate math now because of him
He is funny guy. He gives u examples related to life to help u understand. Put effort and u will get high mark
This is the worst teacher i have ever had, hes not useful at all, i struggled in his class with his confusing methods of teaching, when i went for help he was too involved in field hockey to give me the time of day to help me out, even when my parents and i had a meeting with him he still pretty much told them the same thing as me on how he isnt available for help and that i shud probably find a tutor. my parents were enraged, so he is the worst teacher ever, DONT EVER SIGN UP FOR HIS CLASS
I had him for grade 10 math. I dont think i did one ppage of homework all year but because of the clarity of his lessons i still managed a 83. He is a great guy and a funny teacher thanks sir
Loved his class. He uses humor to help with teaching advanced functions. Understood advanced functions so well in his class compared to when I took almost the same thing in grade 10 (IB). Learned it e
Have Bissada for summer school, he made me understand the math in two weeks more than i did all semester. He makes class fun, and enjoyable.
great teacher, great atmosphere, great food for the brain.
Mr. Bissada is one of the best math teachers at Power. Though his test are challenging, he makes you realize your full potential. His lessons were very thorough, and he always takes up homework. His exam was very fair, and he marks fairly. He's a great guy, great jokes, and an awesome math teacher.
he seems like a nice guy but i don't think his teaching skills are all that great. after teaching IB, he assumes that everyone not in IB is just as smart or has already learned everything. basically he teaches very briefly and assumes you know, or should know, everything already.
Good teacher, but his tests are long and often difficult, which can catch you off-guard.
he's a very nice and funny guy, but i don't like that he assumes everyone is on the same page, and doesnt slow down even if most people are having trouble with the material. and he's never there for extra help.
one of my favorites. had him two years in a year, each year was something to remember. how i get him again one day!!!
they call him "brackets" he made learning fun and helped everyone
best jokes ever.he's a great guy. not an amazing teacher..but he's still pretty cool.
ehh danny...haha his jokes were corny but he was really an awesome teacher i learned so much and he made me want to go to math
bissada is so awsome. I learned alot and understood what he was talking about. i was never bored and even though he was a tough teacher, he knew when to joke around.
He is my favourite teacher in my whole lifetime! lmao I'll forever miss him.. Bissada ROCKS!!! :) (just dont get him mad.. oops..*postjoke face*:)
Best time I've ever had with math, great guy and a great joker.
he's a pretty cool teacher once u get used to him. he makes a lot of bad jokes which makes u not realize that ur learning! math is one big test after another in this class!
please use other examples not just the ones from the text book but your an awesome teacher GO EXTRAINOUS
Wierd guy. That's why he's the best! He makes math fun and UNDERSTANDING!
BEST MATH TEACHER EVER!! SO FAR HE WAS THE ONLY MATH TEACHER I HAD WHO MADE 'MATH' MAKE SENSE TO ME! THX BISSADA! YOU ROCK!
I've never had him as a teacher, but his picture in the yearbook is soo funny..lol
mr b's awesome, he's really hilarious while he trys to tell his jokes and he's an awesome teacher and makes being in his class a pleasure
