Though there was A LOT of work, if you actually did it the class and exams weren't too rough. Always looked forward to class with Mr Young, we were able to learn a lot while still having fun. He definitely helped his students develop better work ethics and prepare them for secondary education. Always friendly and approachable, all the heart points to Mr Young. no doubt my favourite teacher at Kelvin

Mr. Young was part of the reason that IB history was ultimately my favourite course throughout high school. Although there is an evident preference for certain students, and at times he does come across as quite intimidating, he is extremely knowledgeable and always makes class fun. The course is A LOT OF WORK, but if you're willing to put in the time and have a strong interest in history, it is totally worth it. You will come out with a great understanding and appreciation of history.

Felt intimidated to ask for help but he is truly a fantastic teacher. He knows how to make social studies fun. His lectures were the best, did not want them to end. However I do feel, he is biased to the smarter students.

My favorite high school teacher. That man did the impossible... make Canadian history interesting. His World Issues class is the only reason I have somewhat of an understanding of global politics. He is hilarious and full of random facts. If I could I would go back and take more classes with him. If you ever have a chance to travel with him DO IT. He will know more than the tour guides.

OK, I'm really not used to a teacher having any interest in things that I am, and he actually is. His class is hilarious and I'm going to miss all of our discussions about musicals and The Beatles
