This teacher has to understand that art is supposed to be a fun subject and not one with assigned seats and strict rules. She's terrible
Wonderful lady, but she gets on my nerves sometimes...like very hard critique on your art.
Ms. Chan shows very limited knowledge of art techniques and therefore can't teach. She gives marks for random things such as "research" which has nothing to do with the art you do (ex. writing a page about rules of football is supposed to help me draw a football player better?). I have lost marks because my reference images were not printed big enough. She makes you pay for EXTREMELY used art supplies and refuses to give anything new from her back room. You will not learn anything in this class.
Ms Chan seems to be not very knowledgeable in the subject of art itself and she is VERY critical of your work. And even though she is critical she doesn't give ANY helpful suggestions because she says it's a 'creative process.' She is a nice lady, but is EXTREMELY disorganized and seems to be very, very scatterbrained.
nice lady but VERY BAD TEACHER She makes everything confusing, and if art is not realistic, its not art to her (never try and do abstract or cartoon) she is also a very hard marker
What a useless teacher. She is a sweet lady, but not that smart it seems. You can ask her the same thing and get a different answer every time. Not that great at art all in all either.
she is nice enough but not very good at the actual teaching part. She doesn't know a lot about art, she just reads out of the text book. She'll tell you exactually what to draw and if you don't listen you'll get a bad mark
OMG! totally turned me off art in grade 9. that was 4 years ago, and I'm still not over it.
