Very knowledgeable and great sense humor. A classmate was writing a make-up test in the hallway during one of our classes and one of his friends came by and was helping him cheat. Dr. Lawrie's reaction, "Is that <insert name> helping <insert other name>? Talk about the blind leading the blind! Haha!" And let them both continue.....hilarious moment that I will never forget.

Great teacher. Clearly passionate and experienced and very good environment. Unlike some religion-related teachers, he is very open-minded to discuss various subjects fairly and without attacking or mocking. Often goes off topic, but very interesting and relevant regardless. Starts all his classes with 15 minutes of talking/joking which makes way for a very relaxed but good class.

Great, insightful teacher. Knows his stuff, he can answer any question. Low-impact class, but enlightening. A funny guy, we always prefaced class by talking, joking with him. Best memories of Del.

What a legend. 45 minutes of class a day yet we're still on track and may finish the course material early. Do the homework and do well on the first assignment and the rest of the year will be easy. O

Thought he was a great teacher, and he says thing the way they are. Absolutely loved his random rants on how society is degrading. Overall, good guy too.

He's one of the toughest teachers here, but gives you a reality bite for what univeresity is like. Reckon he'll be outta here by 2013...if Pupo is principal next year, he may call it a day. Bets?

I think he's too opinionated, boring, and marks for his class are entirely based on whether he likes you or not.
