He really cares about the students and can really connect with them. He expects your best, so you have to give it to him. He really likes talking about his kid and his little stories. I miss having him as my teacher; he was basically part of our class. You could go to him about anything.

Mr. Brown is very demanding of his students, but at the same time very helpful if you ask for it. While many people think that he is simply a treacherous marker who gives too much grammar work, he is actually being very responsible in teaching students proper grammar and formatting early on so they have greater success in their future places of employment.

one of the best teachers i have had in high school. he is a hard marker and maybe a little overboard on grammar but if you have him for lit you are very lucky. i learned so much in one year and if you work hard and listen to his suggestions you will do really well.

He knows his grammar and he really knows how to teach it. He's a quiet guy but if you go talk to him he'll help you out with anything and make sure your assignment is complete. But he also picks favourites and makes it more obvious than any teacher I've ever had. And he's a really tough marker. If you're not one of his favourites and you get something over an 85, you've done a seriously good job.

Let's start with a positive: he definitely has a great understanding of the material he teaches. However, within the first few weeks of school he picks out 5 or 6 favourites who will do well, and the rest of the class is left with a 75% or lower grade on every single assignment for the rest of the year. Leaving his class on that last day of school was the most refreshing moment of my life.
