Roger Brown was a great music teacher. To say he went above and beyond in extracurricular programs would be a vast understatement.
Favouritism always did seem to be a bit of an issue. But still, some of my most positive memories of LP are from the exceptional music program he orchestrated. I honestly can't look back and say that I had put forth my best work when he seemed disappointed in me, so I think there's something to be said for the favouritism being a bit of a red herring.
she is just awesome. really awesome. all the time.
i didn't like him at all. he played favourite to all brass instruments...biast teacher
Deffinitly one of my favourite teachers of highschool!
Good music teacher, strange guy. He's nice, don't get me wrong. But after three years of lots of Brown, I'm starting to get a little sick of him...
Most people say he plays favourites, but if he marks you harder, it's because he knows you can do better. For the first test, I hardly practiced because I thought it was going to be easy, and then I got 7's, so the next test I practiced hard and got 10's!
Great teacher! He encourages every student to be their best.
Awesome music teacher, he teaches so well and he is really helpful. Really good conductor for bands. Awesome!
There are very few teachers at LP who know their subject as well as Mr. Brown. Every instrument, all the songs... and he's a fun teacher as well. Some say he plays favourites... I think he bases his "favouritism" on involvement with band, and if the student tries their hardest. That said, he seems to like all of his students. In my class he joked around with everyone. He tells some pretty lame jokes. But he's a great teacher, nonetheless. Go Mr. Brown!
mr. brown is excellent! wish he still conducted ritz.
Fun. The music we play is amazing. A very casual teacher, even during tests. Knows a lot about music.
He's really nice and understanding. This is the teacher that lets you chose when you want to serve your detention.
I'm a university music student now, and having been taught by Mr. Brown @ LP, I'm glad to say I'm proud of where I came from. He's awesome.
I think Mr Brown is an awesome music teacher. He is helpful and informative. He is great at running the bands and all the trips. He is very supportive of us.
He did a very good job trying to make a difficult transition. Favourites, though...definitely.
should try not to play favorites, and recognize some instruments are harder than others
Very wishy-washy sometimes, Does play favourites and does a poor job of controlling his anger.
You have it made if you are on his good side and can play well.
