He is a great teacher that is clear and very knowledgable on any subject he teaches
Funny and dysfunctional but k
Disorganized, but an incredible knowledgeable and passionate teacher whose classes are always interesting, if only because of his somewhat...unconventional sense of humour (satirical and mocking, a little racist but isn't actually serious). His exams may seem difficult at first but there's an infallible formula to acing them : memorize everything and write down as much as you can. However, they are lengthy and the time restraint can be stressful. Debate simulations are a pain in the ass.
he knows his stuff but he often forgets and the only way to get a question right is to write the same (correct) answer over and over again in the space he gives you, but he always goes over everything in class and its always in the textbook
He is totally unfair. He's nice if you're on his good side (which is unpredictable) but he picks favourites and if you're not one of them, no matter what you do, it's wrong. His tests are really hard and I have not enjoyed his class.
I wish you luck if you get him for socials...
Mr. Latimer was a great teacher. Once, I left a question blank and he said my worksheet lacked detail. I quickly copied my friend before he checked again. He said I had lots of detail. U WOT M8
He good.... If ur on his good side. He helps his favourites more. he's funny. he can be rasist at some points, but good overall
I had him in Grade 8 and he was okay. He had very difficult exams and didn't really explain everything. Good luck if you get him.
teaches kind of well... but doesn't really care about you, help if you need it and he's mean if he doesn't like you (not a skinny white girl)
High expectations for grade 8 students and leader students. Expects you to be super good at everything
He can be inappropriate
He has very high expectations in class
Super funny and uses comparisons and anecdotes which help us memorize the information. Disorganized, and a bit messy, but i still learn a lot. Coolest teacher.
I am so thankful that Mr. Latimer was my teacher last year. He makes history that much more exciting and his classes are so engaging. His teaching and class activities are effective, and he recognizes hard work and it reflects in the mark.
Tests weren't hard if you prepare, hilarious lessons and very engaging! sometimes kinda odd but a good guy! Would recommend :)
Almost has a split personality, can be foolish and disorganized, but is a smart and well informed teacher. Depending on you, you can either like him or hate him.
I like Latimer. He's a nice and smart guy and you can learn a lot, but sometimes labouring through video after video and roleplay debate after roleplay debate can get to you.
He gives a lot of marks for homework, and his tests are not as challenging as they're made out to be. He isn't afraid to say what's on his mind, which is both good and bad, depending on who you are..
He's pretty good :) he says really funny things sometimes :) it's good if he favors you
best socials teacher ever...he is hilarious and teaches while keeping class fun...i hope i get him every year
If you can write a lot about nothing, you should be fine. Typing your work also helps, as long as there is a lot written.
best socials teacher ive ever had, i actually learnt something in his class
Awesome teacher. He made me decide to go into History in U. He teaches social issues w/o personal bias, which may sound easy but it's not, in today's world. He makes everything so interesting, sometimes you just wish you could listen to him talk all day. His teaching methods make you remember 90% of the stuff that you need to know. He's a bit of a weird person, and enjoys making fun of students, but I think he's the coolest and most competent teacher I've ever had =)
He's not a bad teacher. He is pretty mean to bad students though, but nice to the good ones. He doesn't check your homework so well, you can just write and write and write, and you will get a good mark. Its also good to type your work, he likes that a lot. He isn't to hard, and he is pretty clear, but he isn't always to helpful. He lets you watch a lot of movies though =] Although they are usually very boring... at least you aren't working! Oh by the way, you actually learn, you don't just get piled with hw
Hes so cool. Today in class, we were watching lord of the rings and it was the war scene and the bell rang. He kept watching it until someone said "We are going to be late for class" Guess what he said! "SO?!"
He thinks he know everything and donesnt listen somrtimes.
give a lot lot of hw and do hw check everyday, tests are hard, hope give less work and make tests worth less
He's nice if ur an ideal student. He always shows us vidoes and he makes ss very interesting.. AND he KNOWS his stuff
Expects alot from students, good teacher makes SS more interesting. Opposite of Brownrigg
Very good teacher. I love his tests. Makes SS interesting.
had him for ss11 in summer few yrs ago..very good teacher, i recommand him
totally hilariouse! quite honestly the best socials teacher i've ever had. Way better than phillips or mr warm and fuzzy. A good dancer too
he's cool and real. i like him, the homework's ok, i guess. though we haven't had a test yet.
Too easy class though not much too work with. Any teacher would make it easy. Marks every single little homework assignment.
always late for class....always goes out during class... but a good teacher... doesn't give notes! Final soo easy..
I learn a lot and the tests are really hard. He's a bit weird but okay.
real hard tests, but u actually learn, opposed to Mr. warm and fuzzy
make us feel like we really worked for the grade we recieve
good teacher, learnt alot. but there's quite alot of hw
