I'm in my 4th year of university, and to this day I can't thank Mr O'Connell enough for all his guidance and life lessons. Learning to submit all material in his prescribed format prepares you for uni's MLA, APA, or Chicago formats. His captivating and knowledge-packed lectures have real world applications. He reminds me of my best professors in uni. He doesn't baby sit you, he treats you like an adult. If you're reading this Mr O'Connell, you were the best teacher I ever had at FPSS! -Grad2012

I know he retired, but he is the absolute worst teacher I have had. I cannot think of how bad it would have been if I stayed in his class the entire year. He was so rude and so inconciderate and i cannot believe he was a teacher for that long. He insulted me because one day i had to run down to my lcoker than to his class (my locker was at the complete opposite end of school and down a flight of stairs) and i ran back up and he was talking in front of people and asked why i was sweating and then

Best humanities teacher ever. He's very knowledgeable and can answer any question about absolutely everything. Worksheets and videos are really interesting, and the stuff he says in his lectures sticks. Strict but fair, and the work he gives is reasonable and tests are pretty easy if you study. Too bad he retired before we got to see his wolf.

Quite strict, but very fair. He can be a bit repetitive, but on the whole he is a good teacher. If you're a slacker, you will die in this class, but if you're not, you will do just fine.

Super strict, super hard, but fair. Not a class for lazy people. One of the few teachers who will actually expect you to work and not sleep in class. A good preview for what it takes to actually achieve for post-secondary.

oh god! lol i'm saying he's bad because i'm like failing and because his class is boring! especially when you have him first thing in the morning and he makes you watch a super long movie or makes you sit there and listen to his long stories it's easy for you to fall asleep and fail his class.

I still use the format he taught us to use in our Word documents, and I'm in grade 11. It was the most eye-opening and challenging class I've ever taken at FPS. He is an excellent teacher.

A teacher that actually expects you to work. Gives lots of helpful feedback (in green!!!) Nice guy. Funny stories. Better than just lists of facts and more facts. Always helps if you need it.
