Honestly, not a fan. He really knows how to make someone feel like the stupidest person in the class. Not fun.
Taught me how (and why) to write, and hence, how (and why) to read. Taught me courage. Taught me that every word is a crucial decision. I joined the lead pencil club. I am a teacher thanks to him.
By far the absolute most influential teacher I ever had! Challenged me like no other teacher ever did (even in University).
"[Kinczyk] rings like a distant bell in the school yard of the mind." My first class at CECI, Sept 1989. Thanks, Sir! You, Mr. P., and especially Mr. Lep saved me.
The only teacher that really inspired me and continues to inspire me! Taught me that you should never be satisfied until you find the perfect word. Best poem of my life came outta his class.
was the man who taught me that if you don't look people in the eye, they will never respect you. Awesome guy.
It seems to me that students fall into two camps: those who "got" Dr. K, and those who didn't. Or maybe it was Dr. K himself: those students whom he "got" and those he didn't. If you were shallow and/or insecure, he couldn't be bothered with you.
Inspirational . . . and tough! He never seemed easily impressed by "the beautiful people" just because they were beautiful or popular, in fact he seemed to gravitate more towards the freaks and geeks and left-overs like me! I'm still writing. Thanks B.K
Simply, an incredible teacher. He always manages to make class entertaining and he is very informative.
is he still teaching? i always loved his classes--he was one of the first people to teach me how to think for myself. thanks bohdan. :D
Evil...callous disregard for students. Very unpleasant learning experience.
He knows all the best books and at the library gets me all of them!!
I didn't not at all enjoy his class...for some reason he was really unfare to me....can't say i like him.
Great English teacher. Enjoyed his class, he seemed to like my essays.
To be honest , i thought the guy seemed cool, but his monotone voice oput me to sleep, and i felt shot down every time i answered a question.
Always thought outside the box, saw us as people, not just students. Always told me I should write, and now I am!
Inspired me to be a journalist. I'll never forget him, the most influential teacher I've ever had.
