One of those rare teachers who could not only see promise in specific students, but be pro-active about raising that student's abilities. I had Mr. Ward in the late 80's. Excellent Shakespeare teach
Made class really interesting and fun. Really made you work for your grade but prepared you for University. Definatly had to pay attention in his class as he usually had objects close by to throw.
Very good teacher. Makes class fun and you get to learn about a whole bunch of other stuff as well. You'll have to work hard, but it's totally worth it. I'll miss him when he retires.
by far the best teacher i have ever had. very intelligent, funny but sarcastic. tough but has his reasons
mr ward is so uber awesome he's the bomb, at first he may seem like a sadistic and evil teacher but he's just pretending, hes actually a really nice guy and very knowledgeable as well!
he might be tough, and in need of some anger management, he does have good resources and very helpful ( in a scary way) He might through things...like chalk, pens, or a STAPLER, but we learn better!
oh mr ward . . . where to start. left that class a MUCH better english student, and as much as i hate to say it, it might be thanks to him
ver very very funny, great teacher, but hits me on the head. Hard marker too, but he knows everything, which is amazing.
Oh man this guy is great! And the funny thing is, the more you talk out in class, the better he likes you! So interesting! and even though his marking strategy is very mysterious, I learned A TON! and remembered it, to!
fun class. he knows everything and throws pens all the time. love how he expects us to know what he's always talking about then shouts "don't you know ANYTHING?!" then when we say no he says "how nice"
Ok, so pencils and pens literally gain flying skills because they are thrown around so often, but besides that Mr. Ward is awesome. Classes are never dull because I find myself paying attention 100% of the time. Rock on!
very... intellectual. In his class, he is GOD. Throws things. Call ppl names. His classes are interesting, but tense, be ready!
Grad'88 and he was the best teacher in the school then too - good to know some things never change!
I think that he is a great teacher I have learned so much in English and My writing has improved.
He likes to beat me up sometimes but it's all in good fun :) Tough when you first meet him, he's very nice. Very senile, but a very very good teacher. A+!
He is a great teacher. Often very tough, but fair at the same time.
he actually gave me a charlie horse one class....be prepared for alot of essays...ALOT, but they help you...class was real fun too
Grad '01 - about to graduate from university and Mr. Ward is still one of the best teachers I've ever had. I owe much of my fanatical knowledge of grammar to him.
Ward was awesome. Great teacher and very genuinely caring about students. I actually miss him a lot. - grad of '04
Grad04-Best teacher I ever had. History and english class were simply awesome with this guy...he wasn't afraid to kick our @$$es verbally,physically...and academically (VERY long tests and losts of papers). Doesn't matter whether ur a "good" or "bad" student...u'll get the mark u deserve...prepares you for post sec...
His lectures are so interesting I could listen to him talk for hours straight. I learn so much about everything, not just English, from him. Thank you Mr. Ward!
I just love how I get asked "are you depressed again" every class, followed by "how nice". Must say though he's a great guy, even though he thinks I hate him.
I've never had this guy... but I can heard him at the other side of the school. My brother has him, and I love the way he treats my brother. Keep up with the chalk and books!
Watch out for flying chalk brushes and books. I hear he's calmed down since his announcement.
Wardo is the best of all teachers. Tied for my fav teacher at seaquam. hard tests and rough notes but he's always willing to joke around. Take him, you will no
Great person, I love him. Never gets mad, classes are always interesting. Although I do hate when other teachers interrupt. Grr. I am so happy that I have learned so much. Not just English related either.
Mr Ward rocks my socks! Great teacher, also nice, funny, and genuinely caring.
GRAD 87 and I can honestly say that everything I needed to know about grammar, I learned from Bob. Very effective, unique!
Grad '94 here. I don't know how you do it, but I've read your reviews and it seems you've managed to maintain your enthusiasm and commitment to students without
the only teacher i kno that would really HIT U, like pound u...i think itz hilarious...1 of the best teachers ever
Brilliant BRILLIANT man!!!!! If only he could pass more of his wisdom onto us. I was lucky enough to have had him. And yah, he gives monster exams. GO WARDness!
well...everyone said he was scary and yeah he does yell at us a lot...but he's so funny! (especially when he throws stuff at people)
Mr. Ward is great. I don't know where the horror stories came from, cause they aren't true. I was absolutely terrified of going into his class, but i was wrong!
Uncle Bob only thinks he's God....the real god teaches Math down the hall, but for an imposter, he does a great job of teaching English and History.
All sarcasms and ironies aside, I'm glad I switched to Ward's English class. Thanks to him, the provincial exam was really easy.
Man of man - what teacher!!!!! I think every grade 12 will remeber him!
i've nvr had u but i can hear you all the way across the skewl!
he's not as scary as everyone says. Tests are horrible tho...especially the cold war one
Mr. Ward is a good teacher, although he loses the bottom half of the class. He is a lot of fun to joke around with.
A very charismatic and entertaining teacher, I look forward to both his classes every second morning. Definitely a teacher everyone should have at least once.
Best English Teacher! Thumbs up! hard but very helpful.
Definetly one of the best teachers at Seaquam. Very charismatic and funny (i.e NOT boring). Don't believe the horror stories...for the most part.
unless you think SCREAMING and clarity are the same thing, he's not all that clear. fortunately, he knows absolutely everything about everything
