12/09/13 - Ms. Blacklaws was my Spanish teacher last year and I really loved being in her class. Learning a different language isn't the easiest and usually not the most fun thing in the world, but in her Spanish class we did a lot of fun activities related to Spanish culture, like pinatas and food projects. 06/14/13 - As long as you get on her good side, you'll enjoy her class. She is very biased and can give you marks based on that. People have different things to say about her but in my opinion, overall her teaching method is organized however she may be confusing for many. For instance, she will explain something to my English 10 class 5 times with 5 different standards. On the positive side she respects us (and expects us to have great respect for her) and NEVER gives hw over the weekends. Easy marker. Show More Show Less
05/25/13 - While nice as a person, as a teacher, I can't recommend her. She's gotten a bit frazzled and isn't very clear with her teaching. She gets irritated very quickly - she's thrown many students into the hall, and often gotten pushed to spending a whole class ranting about how horrible we were based off a couple troublesome students. She gave up on teaching my English 10 class thesis statements when the class didn't understand her explanation. If you want to do well, do your work and don't be an ass. Show More Show Less
She was originally my homeroom teacher. I thought she was a nice lady and i was excited when i found out i had her for english, but i was let down.
This is my biggest problem with her and i shouldn't have this problem with any teacher. The problem is is that it's not comforting to go up and ask a question: You'll get one of 2 responses: 1) Go sit down and ask your friends 2) * sigh * I already taught you this
All in all, there are many other better teachers to choose from. Show More Show Less
