I had Mr Leger for all 4 years of high school, which made 8 classes with him in total. At first I thought he was the greatest ever, even wanting to be a drama teacher because of him. In return, he gave me lots of help and attention in order to help me reach my goal. The second grade 11 hit, I had a different career path in choice and when he found out, it was obvious that his attitude towards me changed. He no longer helped me in class and no longer acknowledged me. It really did hurt.
I didn't have him in a class but I definitely know he picks his favourites. I'm pretty sure he's a rascist too but who knows. I auditioned for his play and he told me I wasn't good enough and he made it seem like I will never be. He's rude, the way he looks at you in the halls is so demeaning. Honestly, I hated his vibe and his overall favoritism.
Well I had Mr. Leger about almost 7 years ago, if you can believe it...lol.
I know lots of people that had their difficulties with him but lots who grew a lot from having him, myself included (both difficulties but also grew from him as a teacher). If it wasn't for Mr. Leger I would have never gone to University for Theatre-seriously! So for that, I thank him and how he helped me.
I think the man has his issues, but who doesn't lol? Teaching is also HARD WORK!
Best teacher I have ever had! Sarcastic, truthful, and dedicated. None of his classes are easy but so worth the effort! To all those saying he has favorites, those favorites are often the ones who actually put in the effort. Welcome to the real world! He will not coddle you but he will help you if you ask for it. He gave me my first fail on a test. I was in his classes for four years and I witnessed it firsthand- those who he paid attention to asked for help and put effort into his classes.
Best teacher I've ever had. He is my mentor, friend, and just the greatest. he picks his favorites, yea, but hes always willing to teach anyone and help anyone out. hes got a huge heart, even if he may come off as very sarcastic. hes helped me so much, in every way in my life!
Best teacher i've ever had. I'm new and i've been to many different school's with many different teachers, but Mr.Leger has helped me as a person grow so much. He deffinatly tells it like it is, but if you can't handle what he says, that good luck in the real world! Amazing over all! Thanks for everything leger!
He is honestly my favorite teacher of all time! Before his class, and had no confidence in my abilities and he was super encouraging! He's the reason that I love drama and want to be a drama teacher too :)
The best teacher I have ever had. He is completely real with you and will help you to succeed but only if you're willing to put the work in. He won't tell you that you are good if you aren't so don't go in thinking you're the best because he will knock you down. He also puts in so much time for extra curricular activities and gives theatre students opportunities that most students will never get. I've learned so much from him.
Dear Mr. Legere,
Before I met you I was confident in my abilities. However, when I took your drama class it was understood you had your favourite students and I was not one of them. You made me feel like I wasn't good enough. Now as an adult I understand that I was good enough! You just weren't a good enough teacher. It was your job to encourage, support and help me grow. Shame on you.
At first he is a teacher you love, but soon after you see a different side of him. hes not always truthful, He has favorites but mor than that he has his 'pets'. Dont even try to go for a main role in
Very passionate, very funny. He tells it like it is!
I've learned alot from him and i love his class. only thing is that he has his favorites (the theatre kids)and sometimes i feel as thought i'm not good enogh althoght people are always telling me i am
haha... car tipping was so fun :P Mr. Leger was so funny ^-^ and we learned a lot too... made homeroom really exciting :D
CAR TIPPING! great teacher! Helped so much when we didn't understand even if they were really..odd..questions. AND HILARIOUS! the whole course was non-stop laughing! but still learning, and improving!
He knows what he's doing. Deifntiley one of the best teachers I had, in Drama, Choir, and English. -clemintines
hmmm, i think Bernie taught music and drama at Bridgewater High... he was a lot of fun, accessible, and encouraging!
FAVOURITISM! We think you're funny and talented, but you totally shut everyone out. Everyone who's not an artkid thinks you hate them! And most of the arts kids get ignored too!.
Awesome teacher, I've never actually had him but he's a music teacher..and I've seen him around the school helping with activities that were related to my faverite subject...a LOT
pretty good music teacher overall... but he really liked his favourites... and i was not one of them
Now that your FAVOURITES have all graduated...you're picking new ones. Anyway, if you become his friend, he's great, but if not, it's just a waste of time.
Who cannot love this guy? I'm no drama student and is the best teacher ever- maybe not in teaching (he's still great), but in friendship. That's very important
you treated the people who werent in drama like they weren't good enough. sometimes choosing favorites isnt a good thing. actually its never. thanks for nothing
Mr.Leger i love u to death, u r soooooo amazing, thanks for allways being there!!!
A combination of Nicness and NUTS! You take Mister L in small doses or you OD.
You should try to be more polite to your students and quit favouring all the talented students is what i'll call them.
always has his favorites and could care less about the other students
He's a great teacher and friend. Trust is the key. I hope he never changes.
Bernie your pretty cool...but i'm staying away if your on a school bus!
Great guy. Bernie you did an awesome job in music class and in the senior band.
you're more than a teacher, you're a mentor. congrats! I'll come back to drama
puts in tons of extra cirricular work around the school... hes the greatest!!
