Pretty good gym teacher
Tests = Hard
Homework = Easy
So so so boring. He does know what he's talking about but there's just no point in listening. Grade 10 history is going to suck. Good luck
One of if not the best overall teachers in the entire school.
I've only ever had him for grade 11 history, but it was by far the best history course I have ever had. Yes, the volume of notes is intense, but the best thing you can do for a chapter test is to read the manual right at the beginning of the unit and right before the test as well as going over your notes, which he is willing to go over to correct before you have a test. He clearly loves his topic, and wants most for you to be prepared for CEGEP tests and lectures.
He is so overqualified for the job of a highschool world history teacher: he knows the information extremely well, and clearly loves his job, or at least the contents of it. He is by no means an easy marker, but his class is enjoyable nonetheless, as long as you enjoy history. As for grade 10.. Quebec can only be so interesting, but it's easier. So, moral of the story: Study like a madman, but he is a good teacher.
Unfortunately, most of Mr.Lapierre's students consider themselves unluckly to find him on their schedule. As a former student, however, I can attest to his great teaching ability. Is the course challenging? Yes. Will you have to take notes until your wrist aches? Definitely. But one what one must remember is that this is the exact CEGEP experience. Even his tests (a choice of essay questions) mirrors the CEGEP format. Embrace Mr. Lapierre, he knows what he's doing.
i can't say that i stay awake in his classes all the time, because all he does is lecture. He really knows his material, makes a funny joke every now and then, and tries to incorporate the students in his lectures when he can which is fun. i appreciate his passion for the subject
i loved him. he really knows his stuff and he never reads from the book. he knows what he's talking about if you have a question, he'll answer it. tests and exams are hard though, but i learned a lot.
The man is a genius. What can I say? Hard marker though, and his tests and exams are really tough.
i dont have him as a teacher but hes my rugby coach and hes amazing RWA WILDCATS WOOT.
Mr. Lapierre is so funny and gives great examples involving people in the class. He really loves history (always reading some history/war based novel at the end of class :)
good teacher. i love all the insults he comes up with. and i love how he insults the book all the time. keep it up.
I love how he insults people all the time. its hilarious.
Incredible teacher. Very tough, but if you study a lot you'll get 90s. Wonderful man, hilarious, fun and obviously loves history. Cares about his students. I only regret never having touched his head.
the course is really tough but he prepares us really well. i love mr. lapierre. :)
The only thing I miss about RWA (just graduated) is Mr. Lapierre's history class. If you pay attention, he's fascinating to listen to. :-)
Great teacher. Really nice. Had him three times- makes you understand.
He teaches well, grades fairly and mocks the stupid people. Awesome class!
Talks a lot, but he gets things done. If you do the work then ur fine. And he doesnt do that annoying thing where he picks someone if no 1 raises their hand!
He's a hard techer just do the work. great guy. amazing rugby coach.
i liked him a lot he gave me the least individual homework
