Extremely smart, even funny in his own dry way. I failed his class but he's still one of my favourite teachers ever.
Pretty sure he hated me for no reason, but that's okay I hate you too Austin.
He's a good teacher and makes good jokes... Just do your homework and you'll pass.
Thought he was tough when I had him in 9/10/12 but having just finished a BASc I now know he prepared me better than anyone - I aced my 1st year b/c of him. If you do the work he rewards you, he treats you as they will in uni survive him & you'll succeed
Basically his course is sooo hard, and although he tries to make you work, i find it so hard to get help from him!
such a physics teacher, funny guy, just can be so boring to deal with in class sometimes.
Elias is absolutely brilliant. He may not be the most helpful or clear, or understanding, but he knows what he's teaching you and has the driest sense of humour.
Pretends not to be cool, but messes up sometimes. LAST day of gr9, summatives done. Goes into his office claiming to need something for class. Comes back in 5 minutes with a novel and looks at us shocked: "What are you all still doing here?"
Mr. Elias is definately hard, that is undisputed, but he is also very witty, takes a while to catch his jokes. Mr. Elias is a good teacher in that he tries to get those kids who doesn't work to work, maybe in a harsh way, but with good intentions.
i love him. he cares so much about his students and pays a lot of attention to them- more than people think. he thinks it should be all physics all the time. i think thats all thats needed for his job description. hes hilarious.
The high school teacher is the second most influential person in a kid's life, next only to their parents...I've never heard so many students say that this one man crushed their hopes and dreams and said they weren't good enough to be who they wanted to be
Such a physics prof. Knows everything, hilarious class time (especially for seniors) great month-long experiments(if you've had him you'll know) and teaches very little. Every mark counts with him, do your homework or you'll sink unless you're doug penny.
This guy killed all enthusiasm or motivation for me to go into engineering. Steal his binder, he becomes quite lost.
Mr.Elias is awesome. He's absolutely hilarious, though sometimes unclear, but, hey, it's physics. Not too many evaluations, don't mess them up. Likes seniors better than juniors.
love him! he leaves the class and comes back 20min after just so he can finish his lunch! great stuff. btw, he's alot nicer to the senior classes. junior kids, take it E-Z
He grows on you.At first I didnt like him but having after a while I love his jokes.if u have kids in the class that joke with him it is FUNNY!if you want something changed the class must accost him
One of his intercom announcements sums up his personality pretty well: "Testing. Testing. Alpha, beta, gamma..."
Not too hard of a teacher. Make sure to do your homework. Teaches alright. Sometimes boring but keep awake. Multiple choice tests random and hard. Very funny!
very...original...teaching...method. takes ten minutes to finish a sentence. strange sense of humor. very knowledgeable
WHOOO GO ELIAS!!! Funniest teacher ever. When I grow up I hope that I'm half as cool as he is. You need to ask him if you need help tho, then he explains things
a good teacher. very .. complicated. very stressing .. but a good teacher. funny sometimes. meh.
i couldn't stand him and his horrible teaching methods: he hates kids and hates teaching
dosen't understand the material so he covers it up with condensending remarks to boost his ego
monotone voice, explains questions using wording and ideas that you would need a Phd to understand, uses old tests on material not taught in class
he either talks in a monotone or yells... how about trying something in between???
He is not a good teacher. He takes the entire class to take up one question, and he doesn't always explain himself very well.
bad points: aggressive-protective when you ask for help or more marks on a test. complicates things. good points: everything else.
for those of you taking grade 11 physics, and planning to take grade 12 physics, you'll miss him if he's not your teacher.
He has to get it through his head that he's here to HELP teach physics, not be condescending and proving that he's smarter than you.
Not the clearest of teachers...a little tricky when it comes to tests...Like the one on energy and work, and he tested stuff on power...When did we learn that?
Funny when he washes his hands. When he tries to make jokes, don't laugh. It discourages him.
what a weird guy. its funny when he yells at people. he's funny all the time actually. i learned a thing or two about physics in the process.
